I have eight 8TB external drives here, warranty expired last year, good health, low power-on count, 23k power-on hours, smart triggered for temperature (>40C).
Rs 12,000 shipped, seven twelve days testing warranty. Drive screenshots will be shared before shipping. No USB cable, only power adapter.
So, I accidentally lost my personal chia wallet/keys some time last year. Yeah, not a fun thing to go through. I spent about 18 months trying to recover it, I guess it’s time to accept it and move on.
These are 8x 8TB drives from my personal chia cluster, they’ve been powered off the entire time I’ve been trying to recover my wallet/keys.
Before that, they were powered on for about three years connected to an online UPS and inverter that prioritized them over everything else.
As a result, they have a power-cycle count under 75 but over 22,000 power-on hours.
SeaTools shows a warning that was triggered when the drive went over 40C.
They will be shipped out a little slowly, about a week after payment.
NOTE: These are external drives, internal/external serial numbers aren’t going to match. External serial numbers will be searchable on Seagate’s website to show warranty is expired. I have not shucked or even touched these drives between day 1 and today. I put on those furniture corner protectors on day 1 and put the drives on top of a closet where they lived this entire time, untouched, unbothered.
