Send And Receive SMS Via Android Phone Using Your PC With MightyText

An app for Android called MightyText is creating buzz thanks to its ability to let users send SMS messages from computer or tablet ( all you need is a web borwser ) , the SMS is sent using your own phone number . You’ll also be able to screen incoming calls by seeing the caller information on the computer.The app is a great solution in case you forget your phone at home or work .

Steps to use MightyText -
**On Mobile - **

  • Install MightyText on your Android device

  • Open MightyText and select Google account which will be used to sync

  • Grant required permissions to the app

On Computer or Tablet-

Done ! Now you can send and receive your texts from either the phone, the Web browser, or both. Now instead of typing long messages on mobile you can use your computer .

Does the text go over internet services or normal operator texting service?

The sms goes as normal as texting service. For connectivity from PC to phone, you require data connection.

Try AirDroid, provides you much more than only texting :slight_smile:

For this, you need to be on the same wifi network or the PC and phone should be connected via bluetooth.
Mighty text works over carrier data.

Mightytext takes a bit long to send sms completely..Is this with me only?

Its different than above options, way2sms will not show your number when it delivers the sms and also will not deliver to numbers which are under dnd.

Yep here is the catch that it requires both devices phone and pc/tablet to be online to communicate with each other…
