I am looking for a budget ear-phone/head-phone…
My budget is Rs 1500..With the preliminary (re)search that I have done, I have come up with Sennheiser HD 202…I am a Bass junkie…That said, I have two questions;
1.. Are there better head/ear-phones available in this range..?
2..Are Sennheier 202 @ Rs 1400 a fair deal?
P.S. in-ear, headphones both are fine for me, i just need good soundstage and more than good bass,

1400 is a good price, I got mine for the same, the cans are good VFM.
Just to add to the original query, are there any better headphones in that budget, primarily good for watching movies ?
IMO the 202’s are not very comfortable for extended use.
The other option in this budget is the Sony MDR-XD200 and the JVC HARX700 (not available in India) and maybe the Senn 218’s.
I’m looking for cans to watch movies too. Any suggestion guys?

Oh good, I want to get these, does the music-movie toggle change the audio output? How much did you get em for? And do they crush your ear?
at 1.2 you can not get a better deal than with HD 202
^^ They sit on you ears, crushing them , not recommended for long hours…
Exactly, they get really uncomfortable within half an hour! Im regretting getting them!
The Sony XD ones look cool and comfy. How is your experience with them for movies ?
Thats a deal breaker for me with HD202s then. Cause i have a similar “on ear” headphones which i currently use and they become painful to use within the first half hour 
They enhance the bass in movie mode (make them more evident..instead of boosting artificially), great for action & similar movies…
and it does not compromise on teh other frequencies as well…
Note; if you checked my sig, I have lot of iem but only one headphone(s)…
It means i’m very satisfied and not looked to others…
Thats great, seems almost perfect actually for my intended use. Online reviews too are pretty good for it. Thanks for the suggestion, will look to get these soon.

cant say much about that, it is on the ear, and gets uncomfortable and sweaty after some time. extend your budget and get rx700 for around 2.5K
dont go for so-so headphones!
I tried out the XDR’s at the Sony World showroom, they are so comfortable and the sales clerk told me that they sell close to 10 of those cans everyday!

1490 at sony world, but the sales guy hinted at a discount too. Maybe 1350-1400 hopefully.
my vote for the XD200. have worn it for entire days.
a bit light, but trust me their build is better than the HD 202 ( which has a pretty flimsy hinge mechanism)
also sounds a lot better if you prefer your sound laid back and bassy
