“Invite a friend to connect to your computer with Remote Assistance”
Click on
Invite someone to help you
(at the bottom)
Save invitation as a file (Advanced)
Fill the rest out as needed
Have them save the file somewhere they will remember and then have then pop it off in an email to you.
When you receive it (make sure they are at the computer at the same time)
double click on it and it, and it should connect for you, they will need to give you permission on the other end once you try to connect.
I also have dynamic ip, but this worked for me to help fix my mothers computer.
BTW… my mother (who btw is awesome) is also sorely deficient when it comes to using a pc. It took me 10 mins to show her how to attach the file and email it, I had to talk her through the whole process as explained above… step by step, but it does work really well
