Booked return package for a processor 20 days ago. When I initially contacted them they told me return shipment takes atleast 15 days. So I have waited. It’s already more than than 20 days and when i try to raise a ticket, it doesn’t work. When I choose callback i never get callback. I used delhivery reverse surface as a courier agent. Now I got a message saying package is lost and will shiprocket compensate 2000 rupees in my shiprocket wallet.
I would be greatful if any of you guys can help me with this.
Its not secured. You can not do anything. If the processor is worth less than 2k, then congrats. Else, its a costly lesson. Shipping a 25k worth item without insurance was a bold high risk move.

Get the email ids of their customer support, escalation team, regional manager or higher-ups. Email all of them with all the details of incident and attach proof of price of that product and ask for equivalent compensation. You should email them 2 - 3 times with few days gap even when you dont get a response. Then finally in the last email tell them you will be filing a complaint with the consumer forum. Wait for around 2 weeks for their reply, if theres none file an online complaint with consumer portal. Attach all proof including email communication, product price. Consumer forum complaints take time but they give results. Also as a added measure give a written complaint to nearest police station, get the acknowledgement for your written complaint (if they refuse to take your complaint, then file an online complaint with them)
They didn’t clarify if every shipment falls under blanket cover by default or we need to do something specific for every order..
You can opt for selective cover for every shipment when you click on ‘Ship Now’. Select ‘Secured or Unsecured’. The freight charges will be altered based on the option you select
If you want a blanket cover for every shipment, you can select ‘auto secure all shipments above 2.5k’ in the ‘Shipment security’ tab.

Although, not sure why they’re giving ₹2000 in the first place, if there’s no insurance. Something fishy here. Op did you check with Delhivery directly?
Its been a while since I used Shiprocket but items valued below 2.5k INR were auto-insured by them. They ask extra for insurance when you input order value above that price and I’m surprised OP mentioned 25k order value but didn’t choose to pay extra for insurance. They might as well have not mentioned the order value since they put a target on their shipment for those who could see the order value.
I have sent shipments worth 5-10k in value before and never disclosed the value because their terms and condition for compensation mentions that item needs to be new and not used and to be able to provide receipt or something which was not possible anyway so didn’t bother with insurance.
I too believe OP can’t do anything about it anymore. But they can still try. Also its scummy that the compensation amount goes into the shiprocket wallet where its stuck unless you can transfer it (you can’t as far as I know but like I said its been a while).
After bugging them on twitter, someone from shiprocket called and asked for pictures of the package. I’ve shipped more expensive items unsecured, this is the first time something like this happened.
Right? Like sorry we lost your package sir, here’s ₹2000 for you to continue doing business with the same goddamn company.
This website says they give up to 50% back. But they’ll probably find some stupid loophole and not pay. Insurance is a scam.
That was for insured/secured packages, which this wasn’t.

Shiprocket’s policies are different.
All of my lost shipments are refunded in full if they end up lost. But then I have a unverified business account that was later auto verified because I crossed some threshold (500+ shipments).
So I insure everything at mrp value, and use refunds for the occasional lost shipment to offset the free shipping I offer.
Sketchy, but works.

i think you cant claim full refund since you wont have invoice under your seller name.

One of my friend works at Delhivery at a senior level. I cannot promise anything but I will ask him.
Shiprocket is a complete shit when it comes to help or calls etc. Their CC people are just kids and bots with having no real role play with your shipped stuff.
They will just say they escalate to the parent co and bla bla and their ETA is a joke-72hrs or 7 days. Dude within this time frame the item is actually delivered in most places in India.
Another mistake is selecting DelayedVery. At least in Shitrocket you get to shit with real people but in DelayedVery you have to do it with IVR bots which will hung up the phone on your face.
Worse is, if you ring to the actual shipping co. they wont entertain you and will put it on you saying check with shiprocket.
Lastly, you didn’t insured else you could have at least claimed 80% of the amount.
Why I recommend shitrocket- for their prices, ample of shippers, and ease of everything and no matter what, you can at least speak with someone. But always secure/insure your stuff, it is a big plus to fight further.
I’m using shiprocket for the past 4yrs thus shared all my exp. Their coupon codes are also a joke.
