I am looking to replace my old android with iphone. Budget minimum but should get me by for 3-4 years atleast
Two questions:
- Should I buy online or offline?
- 15 series or the base 16? Not even considering the ‘e’ version

Check offers offline. Many offline stores offer price matching with online price, the profit being that you don’t have to pay extra for open box delivery, and are saved the risk of getting a soap bar instead of the actual mobile.
Just last week, at a friend’s mobile shop, I got the offer of iPhone 13 128 gbs for about 6k less than Amazon’s price.
Offline , go for online only when there is a big sale going on
online is also fine but try to excusebuying from flipkart
Prefer offline, but if u get a better deal online, maybe try to get it, But be aware that flipkart uses cheap tactics like cancelling the order 1 day before delivery, and you may not get the same offer later on.. Happened to me multiple times.
I’m guessing u mean 15 pro vs base 16 when u say 15 “series”,
If I had to choose, I’d go for 15 pro, mainly for the better display and camera.. And I don’t think there is a big use for the new camera control thingy..
Did u buy that? If yes, Is it worth buying a 13 in 2025?
No I did not. I have a Samsung buds live tws, and a galaxy watch 4, both of which might not work properly if I change ecosystems. So, not for me, I am waiting for the A-56.
Ohh okay, btw do u use the image sync feature on your galaxy watch?
Most of the time stores would match online price. I bought my iPhone 15 at a Croma store. Their store price was 5k more, but if you ask to match their website price and card offers, they will do it.
Dumped the idea of iPhone as their hardware is pretty basic in sub-1lakh range. Went for Xiaomi 15
Unless you get a very good offer, dont go online. I got 15 for my sister last year from Select city walk mall delhi, and the mall provided me with 3500rs worth of vouchers. (5% of purchase value). You can try checking if any mall near you provides you some vouchers or offers in same way.
Curious to know what you found basic in iPhone hardware, is it stuff like 60Hz display?
They might.. but this year ( and I have been in the business of changing phone since 2006 maybe ), chinese phones have taken the lead in cameras…
Yes, that was definitely a consideration. Telephoto lens. To me that whole “ecosystem” idea is kind of like an oversell- been using MacBook with Samsung S9 and it works great with Localsend. Plus, 512GB is always nice.
Check out the local Imagine Apple Store, last year my friend was looking to buy an iPhone 15 pro, and they were providing a 5/10k discount and no-cost emi for 12 months as well. But, if you can wait till October-ish, you can get the iPhones for the lowest prices during the BBD or equivalent amazon sales.
Only in photos right? I’ve heard a pro iphone camera still beats them all in terms of video recording.
Although i was talking about just the colours lol, I’m not into professional photography.
That is what I have heard too. But pro max is way too expensive. If I had a lakh rupees, I would prefer x200pro vivo ( or import x200ultra ). Videos - can’t say from personal experience but I quite like the video quality in this (xiaomi 15) . Snapdragon elite chipset is way too good!!
its all same if youre not into professional photography
Compare prices online vs offline and buy accordingly
Professional? No way. No professional photographer relies on mobiles. I am a photo-enthusiast : just a notch above usual phone lovers, and love for genuine hardware. iPhone has really bad cameras this year.
BBD yes. but they sell old models at discount usually. Latest ones do not get much cut. But yeah…few thousand rupees
By professional i meant if you’re serious enough to click edit and post regularly on Instagram page or something like that. One of my friend rocked redmi 5 for several years lol. He installed gcam on it and edited the pics before uploading them.
Always buy iPhone or high end items offline only even if you have to pay premium over it The feeling of touching and experiencing is something else’s
