So Perplexity is going all in to get people onboard Comet

After comet become generally available Perplexity announced a referral program for everyone, refer anyone to comet and you can earn up to $20 per referral I myself made $219 :sob: but still such a bold move do they really thing they can defat google???

If someone subscribes to free tier or paid tier, you get the referral amount ?

As per their page, their referral is now $2 per invite; both you and your friend benefit when they start using Comet. Their bet against Google is ambitious but not unrealistic, given the unique AI-driven features and rapid growth.

You can change the vpn to US/UK and get higher referrals.

I’m a bit skeptical about how this works if your friend is in India and you’re using a US VPN—does Perplexity really credit the higher US referral payout in that case? Also, for Indian users, do they directly transfer the reward to your Indian bank account, or does it go into some wallet first (like PayPal or another service)? Just want to make sure there’s no catch or issues with payout, especially considering cross-border rules and KYC requirements these days. Anyone with firsthand experience?

yes you do!! doesn’t matter who they are as long as they activate comet through your referral

it can go up to $15 depends on the country of the user, if you refer to someone is USA it will be worth $15

I would say do not try any trick there’s a high chance that they’ll ban you, and all the leads you generate goes into 30 days holding period and after that it will be processed to your bank account which you have to connect on the DUB dashboard

Customary Perplexity CEO statement regarding browsers -

Eh .. it’s funny that he has to spell that out.

No wonder perplexity is burning money to get everyone on board. Data is the new oil.

Doing everything except release it on Linux :frowning:

I don’t like perplexity! There features can easily destroyed by newer version of chatgpt

Can’t say both have their own USPs.
One is strictly a research tool (Perplexity)and the other is a swiss army knife (Chatgpt)
