I can sell it barebones without RAM/SSD also. Alternatively I can sell it with A single stick of 8GB Crucial RAM (No warranty) or a 16GB (2x8GB) G.Skill set under warranty. I also have an extra 256GB Samsung PM981 (OEM version of 970 Evo) and a 512GB Sk Hynix PC711 (OEM version of P31 Gold). Can sell with those SSDs also.
You can DM me your queries or interested config with offer. No public bidding please. I will decide whom to deal with based on the offered price, familiarity and convenience. Deal is confirmed only when I receive payment.
Damn. Well done lenovo, my friends g16 came with liquid metal, he killed the board once by spilling coffee. When we opened it, we saw the liquid metal seeping out. We straight up told asus just to use normal paste in the new motherboard please😂 but the ptm7950 always intrigued me, sort of like a good middle ground. Any leads about where can i find it?
I’ve received a multiple enquiries but almost every person is asking me to quote a price which I’m really not sure about. When I do quote something as a starting point, expecting to negotiate, they are either backtracking (Which is fine) or ghosting (I don’t appreciate this). No counter offers though. So I might be over-estimating it’s value.
I thought I made it clear already that pretty much anything is open to discussion but if there is something that’s discouraging people from doing that, let me know.
About 3 months ago, I helped sell the exact same laptop (albeit with the Intel i7-11800H processor / 1TB SSD / 16GB RAM) for 45K. The laptop still had about 3 months of warranty left. If you were to sell it with the 16GB RAM and the 512GB SSD, I believe 45K-50K would be an apt asking price.
55-60K seems appropriate as a starting point. The RAM config also kinda makes it difficult to value it, since 32GB is apt for most people, and they wouldn’t really want to spend extra for that 64GB. You can keep the second 2TB SSD or sell it separately, would be better that way imo.
This is what I had sent to everyone who asked me to quote a price:
-60k for the full spec as is.
-49.5k with 64GB RAM and no storage. I valued the SSDs at 3.5K per TB.
-39.5k without RAM and storage.
Add 800 for 8GB Crucial without warranty and 2k for 2x8GB G.Skill with Warranty
I guess it’s aligns closely with your pricing. Though mine is not under warranty. Testing warranty etc can be discussed though.
This is good pricing, in my opinion. I think people are just a little hesitant on spending more on used laptops without warranty, lest something breaks.
Seems fairly priced to me honestly. Ghosting is unfortunately very common as someone trying to sell something on this forum. I quote a price and explicitly mention to let me know if they have an issue with the price and I still get ghosted many times.
I’ll tell you my perspective. I would have been very interested in this if it was in warranty.
because of my past experiences even 60k seems absurdly expensive compared to the amount of risk it carries,
but it also is a great value as you can’t find anything with these specs at this price.
I’ve owned 3 gaming laptops so far from lenovo, acer, asus. All three of them died one way or other.
So for me i’ll buy it for 60k and the motherboard could die the next day or a week later and that’s 60k gone, vanished in addition to a dozen more issues that could arise and could easily cost thousands.
So it’s a huge risk but great value if someone has the appetite for it.
This is exactly why people are skeptical about buying a used laptop without a warranty. Even if they buy it for 40K without RAM and SSD, and the motherboard dies the next day, it could cost them another 40K to get it replaced. They might be better off saving 80K and buying a slightly less powerful laptop during a sale, which would at least come with the peace of mind of a one-year warranty.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with your pricing. It’s just the fact that buying laptops outside warranty is a hit-or-miss. With a desktop, you could simply replace whatever part has died. With a laptop, you’re SOL if there’s anything wrong with the motherboard.
All of these people are right, Every time i see your post up here. I think about buying this laptop, But the issue is warranty If it had warranty i might have bought it for the price you are selling for.
I have never broken any gadget I owned, but it is still risky.
Except a headphone and mouse dying on me, which were in warranty and got replaced.
A relative recently bought a new Lenovo gaming laptop with similar specs, R7, 3060, 32GB, 1TB SSD for 68k.
40k seems good, 45k fair. 50k too much without warranty. Gaming laptop replacement and repairs aren’t worth it. My friend bought Alienware laptop for over a lac and after the gpu got fried due to Gad knows what reason the service quoted 70k something. Crazy.
Someone gifted me an Asus laptop with AMD iGPU. Old games could run in low-mid so it was usable. I changed the battery and keypad after a few months and after my 2nd or 3rd use since (post buying a mech keyboard on this forum) the laptop suddenly died. Spent 6k fml.
