Just had a practical exam today, & I was online last nite.
Best thing, if u don’t need ur comp for ur exams (ie no programming to be done), get ur mom to set a password for windows (ie, you go to that password setting thing control userpasswords and have ur mom enter the password).
if its dialup.. put some 1gig download up and just don’t pause it anytime…
you will never have the speed for anything 
if on bb.. curse your bb first and then have some self control and plug of the wire and throw it on roof
surf online with a book in your hand…soon as things get boring online start studying and vice versa

stick chits underneath your desk beforehand and spend ur time on the net 
simply disconnect ur internet connection n ur tv cable if u watch that stupid k sagas(Read Kyunki saas bhi…;Kahaani Ghar Ghar.. n Kkusum) n jassi jaissi koi nahin n get some intelligent person to lock ur computer with a password 
Or else take a 2 day crash course in “Copying in Exams on the Sly” from me 
remove/disconnect keyboard+mouse or HDD from ur comp n give it to ur mom for safe keeping.. or perhaps, give us ur number, one of us guys (more the merrier) wud call ya, talk to ur mom n create enough ‘doubt’ (saying we are ur internet buddies n all (moms dont like that, do they evil2: ).. voila.. problem solved..
but if u choose the latter, u may go without internet for life..

say, 4-5 hrs u’ll study only and the computer remains shut.
for 1-2 hrs u use net/pc only…nothing else…it works
