430w TDP.. !..
cant wait for the benchies..
amazing topic name.. ![]()
do u mean testing how quickly this oen boils an egg compared to its predecessors ?
430 W is too much …nice topic name ![]()
Topic name has been copied from dailytech.com, I ain’t worthy of the credit.
Ha Ha Ha…really well put…
I can bet this still wont beat the 5970, at max it would be close with the ATI’s solution at a much lower TDP at less than 300Watts I believe.
I love nVidia, but not at the rate they are going, at this rate they might as well start to make Microwave Ovens, or something of that sort…
superb news… gtx 490 FTW
this is new Green series card from nVidia.
they are promoting fermi as an alternative to LPG.
soon we will see house hold product-line compatible with fermi from their partners.
this is the future guys!!!
Now I really know why I really love Nuclear Power plants… Finally.. !!
Few of those sold and we’d have 5 hour power-cuts every day.
good one ![]()
Can’t help now, repped you first than read this, Anyways I was not going to read dailytech. ![]()
What really surprized me is that the GPU is as big as the Quad and Hex core CPU’s, not really used to see such huge die sized GPU’s, DAMMIT has chosen the right strategy of having multiple smaller GPU’s in crossfire rather than one burly mammoth, but the problem for DAMMIT is that crossfire isn’t as good as Nvidia in terms of scaling and support for games… alas ! as always this is not the perfect world.
Guys, this wont be the mammoth GTX490..
GTX490 is supposedly a 2xGF104 which is a cut down 2nd Generation Fermo… it will be 2xGTX460 which should launch this or next month… So there’s still hope…for a better future, and power-cut-free afternoons.
** From which source did you get that information ?**
My current HD3450 will eat this for breakfast/lunch and dinner. No kiddin… card looks awesome! ![]()
