SC versions have a bad habit of making decent hw look bad.Back in 2002 when the original game came out,it choked on the then very capable gf3,running at >30fps only on gf4 ti and above.However that it chokes a great card like the 6600gt is still surprising.
Hmm it aint surprising SC chokes all mid range cards at full detail. If it choked an X800Xl or a 6800 GT then that would be surprising.
Everquest 2 chokes an X850 XT PE too at full details in 1280*1024…
Well just turn off soft shadows. Thats what really kill FPS.
I am playing this with SM3.0 on 6600GT with 2XAA and 4XAF and FSP between 20-30 HDR on.
Yup its a ATi specific issue i think
Chk out the screenshot. I am getting arnd 30-40 Fps @ 1024 with 2xAA and AF.
