SSD Bulk Thread - Used / OB / Pulled Units | NVME / SATA

Few points to keep in mind across all SSD deals :

  1. Crystal will be shared to you before dispatch
IN CASE NOT DONE, it’s your part to share the crystal of the device once delivered.
Serial numbers need to be noted and stored up on my database, and due to dropshipping, suppliers often miss out some units to share the crystal disk info.
Either crystal be shared before dispatch
    OR
Buyer to share crystal within 7days from the date of delivery
  2. If shared info and the delivered drive differ in model / SN, share update with me asap.
Diff unit (different SN) but same model from ordered → Acceptable, just inform me about the SN of the unit delivered to you.
  3. OEM units from Samsung, Hynix, Micron - these are different from retail units, hence you can’t just visit their software and update their firmwares.
Be careful not to tinker with the device, else the drive failure is yours.
  4. FIRMWARE UPDATES ARE STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED
Happened with a buyer recently, drive was working well, he did a FW update, and boom, the drive no longer works at all.
  5. Samsung retail units are official and original - but officially discarded by the brand.
So they will not work with Samsung’s Magician (unless you get lucky!)

SSDs dont usually die, they are robust against all use cases and environments.
However, few units tend to not work on specific systems (happened with many SATA ssd buyers, who got replacements done successfully)

Testing warranty is just to ensure that when you receive the unit, it doesn’t just die in a day or two.
That’s all, once received, run a crystal disk mark just to ensure the drive is stable under max load conditions.
Most of the units I sell, are either pullouts (decently used), or brand new with zero writes on them, and it’s gonna be too painful to run diskmarks on each unit before dispatch.
