Steam Winter Sale 2025 Megathread

Creating this so people can share great deals and discuss their purchases.

This time, most of my purchases are likely to be online co-op games, specifically ones with campaigns. I’d love any recommendations btw.

I’ll probably buy:

Steamworld Heist II (Save 67% on SteamWorld Heist II on Steam) - 429. 365 if you have Heist 1 and buy the bundle.
Deep Rock Galactic (Save 70% on Deep Rock Galactic on Steam) - 209
PEAK (Save 38% on PEAK on Steam) - 222
It Takes Two (Save 80% on It Takes Two on Steam) - 439. Has a friend’s pass (Only one person needs a copy). Hoping my partner agrees to play this (It’d be their first game), and if so, they’re able to, and don’t give up :folded_hands:

Current “maybes”:

Biped 2 (Save 30% on Biped 2 on Steam) - 616. I had a lot of fun playing Biped 1 with my friend. Biped 2 has a friend’s pass.
Reignbreaker (Save 50% on Reignbreaker on Steam) - 199. To try to slightly fill the void that Hades 2 left.
9 Kings (Save 50% on 9 Kings on Steam) - 399
Split Fiction (Save 25% on Split Fiction on Steam) - 1874. It has a friend’s pass. Too expensive for me, but my friend wants to buy it. Let’s see.
Detroit: Become Human (Save 90% on Detroit: Become Human on Steam) - 199
Golf With Your Friends (Save 90% on Golf With Your Friends on Steam) - 112
Payday 2 (Save 90% on PAYDAY 2 on Steam) - 48

If you haven’t played The Forest yet, I’d highly recommend it. I had an absolute blast playing with a friend.

i saw someone offering steam gifting @ some 20 or 25% discount. can someone guide me to it. need to buy some games

Got X4: Foundations for 200 Rs. Will play this when the space sim bug eventually bites next.

Also got Cyber Knights for ~850 Rs. Lowest price since the game had its full release after early access. I absolutely love turn-based based games, and this one has reviewed very well. Also has a full Linux native build, so will be fun for a bit of benchmarking.

The deep-discounts page has some fantastic deals this time IMO. Slay the Spire for 100 Rs., Ace Combat 7 and Detroit: Become Human for 200 Rs., and more, all pretty fantastic deals.

Armored Core has also been sitting around in my wishlist for ages now and has a 50% discount (lowest yet). But considering how old the game is now, and surrounding hype being complete gone, still feels a tad overpriced.

I can genuinely recommend playing Ace Combat 7 at its Rs. 199 price tag. Make sure to get the season pass for the additional missions. The series is getting another release next year, almost a decade after Ace Combat 7’s announcement.

I’m so hyped for it.

I think Steam has hired Nirmala Sitharaman to do calculation for Bundle game deals on Steam.

Silent hill 2 standard = 1400
Silent Hill F standard =1920
Total = 3320.

But wait…if you buy them as Standard bundle only you pay Rs 4400.

what am I missing ?

Its simple, there is no discount on dual pack whereas individual game is on sale.

Forget about discount.
They are pricing it higher if person buys exact same stuff individually.

It’s like going to buy 1 kg(6 pcs)apple and paying more but if you buy same 6 pcs invidually you pay much less.

No, it’s not priced higher, it’s just not discounted, as @shrimann has said.

It’s very common in sales on Steam actually. Publishers either forget to, or don’t want to, discount bundles, but they discount individual games, which leads to the cost of some ‘packages’ being higher. Just buy separately, in that case, or wait until another sale when there might an additional discount on the bundle as well.

If we forget about the discount then dual pack is cheaper
individually the game is worth 6000 (3200 + 2800)
its because of the discount dual pack is costlier than individual games.

Ideally they should have offered pro-rata discount on the dual pack too but again its their call.

Is there anything in this summer sale for like CO-OP games which is like a must buy? Looking something to play with friends like Peak, RV there yet games.

Rust? Sons of Forest, Chained Together, Squad

Tried rust, didn’t like it much.
Chained Together and SOF was so much fun.
Let me check squad.

Damn, squad looks good but friends not gonna buy it because of the cost.
Any game like under 300? I have some kanjus friends that’s why..xD
