Company is giving a voucher to buy something with a budget of 21k.
Thinking of getting a small television, since my bedroom’s wall doesn’t have much free space. Any suggestions on any sub 32 inch tv?
I really don’t have any idea about what technical specifications I should look for in a television, so some guidance here too would be appreciated
P.s. I would prefer to buy it offline to get the bill with GST details.
Check dimensions & see if you can fit a 43" TV. Buy a 43" 4K TV for under 25k - Hisense, Vu or Redmi, pay the difference.
32" TVs are of HD resolution, 768p & cost under 15k.
No, paying the difference won’t work. The T&C is such that the full bill has to be under 21k.
On a side note, we are also looking at mobiles - I’ve realised there is no reasonably good mobile in that range in the offline market.
Can you get monitors instead?
They usually have FHD or higher res screens and you won’t have to deal with slow startup times of low-end Mi TVs and such. It’s wonderful if you have a PC or some Android box at home.
My suggestion would be to look the Samsung’s or LG’s 27" models. Look for IPS since those are usually a safe bet. Avoid VA/TN panels unless you’re into comp. gaming or something. It’s not great for day to day usage. Avoid the bezelless ones if you can, since their edge lighting is both uneven and sometimes visible outside. But otherwise not an issue so far.
There’s BenQ, and they have a lot of features for work-related usage (ePaper mode (B/W), Eye Strain whatever etc), but I’ve seen those displays flicker if the voltage isn’t good. So, I would avoid them.
I was going to recommend getting a Monitor too. There are several 27-inch and even 32-inch Full HD (1080p) IPS monitors from budget brands. Some are even offering 2K resolution. Monitors have a better resolution and often faster refresh rate.
The only drawback is that Monitors aren’t “Smart”, which means they do not have any Operating System like Android or support for Wi-Fi. Connecting a PC or Android TV Box is mandatory.
There are 43"inch TVs too under 21K. TCL. Acer etc.
My main challenge remains that my bedroom’s wall doesn’t have much free space. What I’ve understood is that the current options available are not good vfm. Thanks guys for your suggestions but I’ve given up on this idea.
Tcl ones are around 25 ish.
Ifalconn by tcl comes at 17_18 during normal sales.
One can use amazon firestick for such cases which just need hdmi port which all such monitors have.

) in August 2022 with 3 years of brand warranty for Rs. 15740. The warranty was further extended for 2 years for Rs. 2950.
The screen is IPS with excellent viewing angles, a magic remote, and excellent build quality.
I don’t like the default color settings but that can be changed using the color settings. The free TV wall mount is better than Chinese brands.
I had a very bad experience with MI TV hence bought the LG. However, now it is available with only a year warranty. You might get a 3-year warranty during the Diwali sale.

Wouldn’t suggest getting FHD past 27-inch tbh. Kinda looks bad. Even at 27", if you’re looking to use it from like 1ft away, do reconsider going smaller, or higher resolution.

Shitty/Cheap Android TVs take too long to start, don’t respond to remote till then, and randomly reset themselves, so you can’t switch to HDMI until after it boots up, loads itself up and then tries to follow your remote’s commands. Not all are like these, but please do be careful while shopping for this.
More expensive ones usually don’t have it this bad, since they either start up very fast/remain on standby, or have bypasses which lets you boot straight to HDMI if there’s a working HDMI connection present while booting up.
How’s the picture quality?

**Picture quality: **Not natural like my Sony 55". I think it’s a bit saturated for my liking. I have made some changes to the color settings. But, HD10 or similar formats look stunning.
**Stand: **It was free and installed by LG service personnel a day after delivery.
From Flipkart, a similar TV (IPS) with a different model name was available at the LG store at a higher cost.
**Extended warranty: **This came with a 3-year warranty, and an extra Rs. 2,950 was paid for extended warranty cover for the 4th and 5th years.

One thing more the sound of the TV is average. It would be best if you made some adjustments according to your preferences.
You got extended warranty offer , now they’re only providing 1 year warranty only
The companies might offer extended warranties during festivals.
