Subtitle edit : split 1 srt file in to two

hi guys i got a subtitle file which is a single file… but the movie im having is splitted in to two files.. pls suggest me a good software which can help me to split the srt file also in to two,

which movie subs you are searching for ??

there are lots of things thing that sub editor can’t take care of. like movie fps. The one I use(rarely) is Sub Synch it can add or reduce time from the file

rather ask for a s.w to join ur video file into one.

Try google for 2 cd subs.

^^^ im looking for 13B 2cd subtitles

subtitle workshop. its freeware

a) Download subtitle workshop from here URUWorks - 100% Software Uruguayo

b) Install the software, load the subtitle in it (file > open)

c) Click Tools > Split subtitles

d) In the window that opens, select the “simple” tab, and select ‘end of video’ . Browse and select the first video file that you have.

e) Output format should be ‘subrip’ (SRT).

f) Click split, and you should have TWO files in the folder you specify.

This method works most of the times if the framerates for the subs and the start time of the subtitle is correct for the film (or the first half of the film).

Finally, experiment!

Let me know how it goes.

Oh… and btw, you can also search on www.opensubtitles.org if you don’t want to do all this work!!

everything went fine, but mine is .vob file… not .avi…:frowning:

oh it worked, i entered time manually… thanks for the help guys…

hows the movie print :face_with_tongue: :face_with_tongue:

Just open with notepad and copy paste into new notepad 2nd half.

Prolly Cam. You cant even get proper TS for Hindi films. LOL

Subtitle Workshop , works gr8 with loads of subtitle files , using it for ages works perfect till date.

If you wanna split idx and sub files then use VobSub to convert the file to SRT or Sub text files and then u can split it using Subtitle Workshop.

Stop with pirated movies discussion , this thread was only meant to know about the subtitle editing.

Try submagic which is a freeware.

You can download it from
