Suggest a small kettle for routine use

Hi I have been looking for a good reliable kettle around 1L for boiling water/milk. I want to use it on daily basis.

Please suggest any good recommendations. My budget is upto 1.2-1.5k

I have found some but not sure which one to pick. All are standard brands in the market:

i have been using 2 units of a similar one from inalsa since few years without any complaints. purchased locally. one of them i use for travel & the other at home.

No advice on the kettle, but I will say that I’ve found Milton’s quality has gone down from what it used to be a few years ago, and their steel quality isn’t great in my experience.

Also, from your list I’d go with Havells because it has a steel lid. Ideally you don’t want any hot water or steam to contact plastic parts.

Ya I was looking at the ratings and was surprised to see Milton having lower rating compared to others.

If you’re going to be using it for milk regularly, then you’d want it to be easy to clean, every nook and cranny should be easily reachable. Your selected products don’t really have that.

I checked it out but people seem to have issues with the heating. Are you using this currently?

I’ve used this portable one and it till now has worked great.
it is small about half litre but amazing portability.

Please note I have only used it few times and only during travel. Cannot say about the durability of these chinese stuff.

For a brand that I regular use is Havells…its brilliant and been using it for over a year and almost 2-3 times daily .

I searched for similar products and I guess you are right. The ones I mentioned don’t seem to be fit for boiling milk.

If boiling milk or making maggie is priority, see if it’s feasible to get an induction stove + a good pan.

These kettles are meant for only boiling water. Clearing milk fat after boiling is a pain and washing improperly will lead to water leaking in.

I had a Morphy Richards one that didn’t last a year. On the other hand, the Prestige one is working fine for 4 years now.

These kettles are meant for only boiling water. Clearing milk fat after boiling is a pain and washing improperly will lead to water leaking in.

Actually my earlier kettle was 1.5l but as I started carrying the kettle for some long stays, I got the 500 ml Prestige one which works great for tea/coffee, but may not meet your needs.

At home I actually use a Hawkins 1L induction bottom saucepan on an induction stove for anything that requires boiling.
