My i5 12400f seems to hit 100 degrees when stress testing using prime95 and thermal throttles. I am currently using the stock cooling so I understand why this may happen. I need a budget cooler to fix my temperature issues. Any recommendations?
Deepcool AK/AG400
Hyper 212 + Thermal Grizzly
+1 for the Deepcool AK400. I’ve been using it for 3 years and it has performed much better than the stock cooler of my 5600x.
Before buying anything, try to repaste if it has been a long time and see if the temps drop.
AG400 for basic
+1, I bought one 10 years ago in 2015, it’s still working great, the fan started to make noise at one point, and I replaced it. No other problems. Currently priced at 2.5k, the black edition one.
Did you guys know the copper pipes of these coolers are filled with liquid. I just found out, very interesting.
Go for Hyper 212 or AG400. Also check out TE marketplace, there might be sales.
Hyper 212, even running resource hungry apps/games …temps never crossed 50%…
AG 400, decent cooler at ₹1500
Checkout Antec A30 around 1k, rn.
Is there a significant difference between the Antec A30 and Deepcool AG400?
90mm fan vs 120mm to begin with . Also, if you check specs, fan’s arflow for AG400 is 2x of what is listed for A30, similarly AG400 has 4 heatpipes between heatsink & CPU die area (vs just 2). There’s a reason AG400 is recommended as the minimum cooler for most people.
deepcool has more pipes and more heat dissipation capability.
i picked antec a30 as my main aio unit has some problems and is currently dissembled for repairs..
