I was posting this thread here on behalf of my friend.
I need advice and recommendations for setting up a new PC. I’m looking for a futuristic upgrade that can handle schools and college students for the next 5 years.
What I’m trying to find:
Any graphics processor within budget, Intel or AMD
Budget below 40K
What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word ‘et cetera.’ Vague answers like ‘gaming’ or ‘office work’ will not work.)
Ans: No game, only for study purposes. For School and College Projects
What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then please mention.
Ans: Budget below 40K Suggestion for New PC Build-Up
Planning to overclock?
Ans: NO
Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Windows 11
How much hard drive/solid-state drive space is needed?
Ans: For OS M.2 NVME, For Data SSD or 3.5-inch hard drive
Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention the screen size and resolution you prefer. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, then do mention the screen size and resolution of the monitor you have.
Ans: Need a new 24-inch, 1080p one.
Which components you DON’T want to buy? i.e. which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: No exiting, need all
When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: Within week or month
Have you ever built a desktop before? Or, will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: No… Will fix with Assembler
Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don’t get locally?
For normal usage go with mini pc with i5 12th gen.. should come below 35k. Or if you want future proofing build am5 ryzen pc which includes igpu eith their every cpu.. doable under 40k..
Here’s a screenshot of cart.. can be purchased new with lower cost from various other sites..
Monitor: Consider dell for Peace of mind, as my last dell IPS worked for 8 yrs before it’s screen went kaput, now using Acer Nitro IPS (Stick to IPS), even there is MSI 21.5" (IPS) @6000/- or less, as I was not sure (feared) about MSI warranty/Quality so buy ACER Nitro as per suggestions from few TE Members.
NOTE: Bought Dell Monitor in 2014 & I think every hardware that manufactured before Year 2020, maximum were good enough and made to wrok long last, but after 2020 very hard to predict any brands longevity, so buy with utmost care (research)
UPS: 100% and buy ONLY APC, it may costly but very very good.
NOTE: Bought APC UPS 600VA in 2018 & I think every hardware that manufactured before Year 2020, maximum were good enough and made to wrok long last, but after 2020 very hard to predict any brands longevity, so buy with utmost care (research)
Printer: Consider HP for entry level, if any thing happens you will get everything (spares/ink/repair etc.) at most of place easyly.
If for work only buy lg ips monitor.. they will last long and better for eyes.. i dont know about printer. For keyboard mouse get anything you like, if you want. If under budget i will recommend lenovo keyboard mouse combo.
Don’t get ups if you have good sine wave inverter in home. I will not suggest ups anyways they dont last long. You can invest in inverter later on it will be nice investment if your area has electricity problem.
