Hi All
I m planning to buy a DVD writer, since my rig is bit old so I m looking for an IDE DVD writer and NOT SATA. I searched in forums and saw Samsung have quite a few recommendations, so I checked up their website but I could find only one IDE DVD Writer there which was SH-S202J
Here is the link:
SH-S202J DVD writers - optical disc drives SAMSUNG
I want to know is it any gud? is it the IDE equivalent of SH-S223F ?
Any other IDE models i can check out for? LG?
Thanx in advance
LG H42/H62, Lite-On have a few 22X drives, incl. the iHP422
Practically currently 20x IDE is as good as 22x SATA, only difference is a mere 2x. Though we don’t write cd/dvd at 22x speed … do we ?
Cheers

You would only see the latest models on the websites.
But these older models are still in the market.

I have this Samsung DVD writer. Yes it is IDE equivalent of SH-S223F. I have been using it since past 2-3 months. Its quiet good. No problems at all. Recommended!
