Reason → Did not find it useful for my usecase , I am using normal switch.
Has reset button at back.
Rs. 3000 + shipping for 1 (completely new, not opened box, Just checked what’s inside. )
Rs. 2500 + shipping for other unit ( This unit does not have a charger, It is standard 12V charger used by normal routers , I am unable to find the power/charger adapter )
I also have sfp+(10Gbps) to Rj45 ( 5gbps) adapter, let me know if one wants. ( Same seller on Alibaba ).
Yes , you are correct. But PC does not have built-in in sfp+ port.
For max 10gbps speed it will require DAC cable ( sfp to sfp ). I don’t have any device with sfp+ ports, hence I used this converter. Its active and it heats up.
Not always, some of the modules does do active conversion to the other end’s port specification. For eg, some people used the following module which mapped to their 2.5G interface,
It is an active adapter. It has a speed select switch on the back of pcb ( shown in the image). It heats up. It will output either Max 2.5gbps or max 5gbps ( 2 switch positions ) but it will accept 10gbps input from sfp+ port of the switch.
So if I use this module in the SFP+ port of a switch which only does 1G/10G, and then hook up the ethernet side to a 2.5G system, we can get 2.5Gbps throughput using the switch?
