Which T.V tuner card is best…i need a good t.v tuner card 4 my p.c…which have
a nice software…
, my budget is Rs:1500…
which one is gud Internal or External..? 
…which company is nice..and i’m gonna use it with Dish T.V..so i need a Audio Video input…which means i hav 2 connect A.V cable in to it ..pls help

As per your budget External is better… If U are adding 500 bucks then internal will be fine…
Yeah go for internal … less cpu usage.
meh, if you get the external ( the type you connect to the monitor directly) you can have 0 cpu usage

Check for SSD TV 723 from Tech-Com.
No need to start PC for TV viewing, saves power. Can’t record show though…
greenhorn: it means i hav 2 reconnect…2 pc while m using pc…and conect it back again 2 tuner card if i want 2 use T.V!!! …m confucd!!!..

You will not be able to record with the external TV tuner. However this is would be better as you do not need to switch on your PC to watch TV.
With an internal card you would be able to record program’s but this would not have the above said advantage.
Based on your requirement you could choose either. PixelView is also a good brand for TV tuners from what I’ve heard.
Internal tuner’s are much better. External won’t let you watch TV in window mode, couldn’t care less if you can watch TV without switching on the PC.

Als the quality of viewing with a cheapo external will not be good. It might be okay in a small crt but for an lcd better you go for an internal.

why to go for internal tv tunner card:::
1)cost is less
2)good bundle of media software
3)u can record the show
4)if ur card of windows media center- u can use all those media center facilities(any media center internal card will cost u 2-2.5 k INR..but its worth–PixelView is there)
Why go for External Card:
1)No need to use the PC/CPU when watching TV
2)No risk of damaging your motherboard by malfunctioning of your internal TV tunner card
3)portable-u can carry easily (if USB)
4)u will get a descent external tv tunner(from techom/frontech) at 1800 INR(for lcd)/1000 INR(for CRT),better quality will cost u more
5)I am not sure about the recording n other features of external tv tunner box
btw, there are external USB tuners too. they use way too much CPU though.
can u please give us the link..that may be costilier one (4k INR),preferred for watching TV on the move on lappy

Pinnacle PCTV Stereo is best option for internal card at 1.8 to 2.2k maximum.
Look this card has very low CPU usage and great recording capability and picture quality.Never buy Combo boxes(direct to monitor) all is crap with poor picture quality . If you can spend near about 3k then go for PCTV 50e,Below one is USB PCTV 50e and have fully drivers support for windows vista
u should gt usb … coz ..internal supports recordin but nt portable , and external doesnt support recording ..
If u do not want to record anything, than go for External TV Tuner Box.
And u do not have to remove and reconnect the display Connector everytime u want to switch. It’s as simple as switching off the Tuner Box by remote to go to PC mode & On it for TV mode…

Is there a casing available in market to convert internal Tuner card to external one ? I have one spare tuner card and a CRT monitor.
