TapaTalk server plugin outdated

Just installed what looks like an awesome free/paid TapaTalk app called Board Express (Pro) for Windows Phone 7 :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Unfortunately when trying to open TE it displayed a message that the TapaTalk plugin used here is out of date.

This wp7 app has recently been updated to the latest and greatest.

Can the same be done for TE/TapaTalk ?

using the android version and it works fine. wonder if there is some update for win 7? anyway itā€™s been reported to the admins

Same here, i am using the latest tapatalk version for the android and no issues. Any other Win 7 users experiencing this issue ?

Maybe the android version app is not really using the latest TapaTalk server side plugin.

Can admin(s) confirm you have installed the latest TapaTalk plugin on TE and if not, can you do so?

Then I will post back via the plugin (if it works) else just to say ā€œnope, still does not workā€.

BTW: Androidz suckz, WindowzFone rulez!!!

edit: Note it works for me on another forum (IBF) so they must have the latest server side plugin already :slight_smile:

Safin said he would be installing the default vbulletin version soon and to hold on for a while, secondly thats a subjective opinion :joy:

We have a better solution in mind. But we are holding back for an event :slight_smile: YOu will see it when the event happens. :face_with_tongue:

Err.. he is a WP7 user. He will not have that unfortunately.

Oh no, you mean there is a plan of introducing separate application like tapatalk but only for TE? Kind of XDA?

Iā€™m also a Maemo/MeeGo user, soon to be an Android user too :face_with_tongue: so will wait for that ā€œspecial eventā€ to happen :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thanks for answering our question. So which platform will we see the app on- Android, Blackberry, iOS?

I think we should be in a position to provide a dedicated application for TE by next weekend. It will be available on Android and iOS only. Those of you who want to experience the look and feel of that application can go to the their application store and install the vbulletin application.

Are you going to remove the tapatalk server side plugin then? If not, then why not just update to the latest one on the server side?

Simply updating to the latest server side tapatalk plugin will work for everyone :slight_smile:

This is request to all mods can u please update the taptalk plugin to new version as i am unable to access due to old plugin with my blackberry. when asked the developer he said i am unable to login reason is webiste using outdated plugin. if you can update it in next updating it will be helpful thx

^^ Facing same issue with my 9780. on iOS and android working fine.

yeah i contacted software maker and he after trying techenclave.com said i am unable to login because website using too old plugin and need to update rest most of forums working fine

This is supposed to be a TECHNOLOGY forum and it is using OUTDATED plugins for tapatalk ā€¦ which are most probably free or at very nominal cost.

This is laughable that the forum itself cannot stay up to date inspite of so many requests.

i am also facing same problem and PMed the admin and got no response.

Safin said heā€™d be updating it. As of now the priority is on improving the experience for regular PC users - as mentioned under Site Announcements.

There is a better TE vbulletin app for Android/iPhone users though (if you fall under that category).

P.s.: When you shout TECHNOLOGY forum, you do realise you are a part of it right? Even if 99% of your activity is in the non-constructive market section :slight_smile:
