Ok so it was finally released yesterday after a long delay and frequent postpones;

Dr. Kamal Hassan in 10 roles for the first time!!
Storyline seems interesting and I heard a mixed bag of responses from reviewers around;
Post ur comments on the movie if u’ve seen it [chances’re that u probably wont for the next 15 days; all theatres are running packed!! ]
I read the rediff review and that guy was raving about it like there was no tomorrow !!
already saw the movie yesterday at my town karaikkudi TM but not good
i give 5 out of 10
the theater is old like accident stuff no fan and chair are unless
that is stupid movie casue of anti botc (virus ) from bio lab that is lame
i wanna see… but its not in hindi

Saw it first day yesterday!
But I must say, it was below expectations.. (atleast for me) :(. I wasted 250 bucks on the thing! Crap :ashamed:

I think Rediff’s Review is biased - The guy might have been an ardent Kamal fan ..
Dasavathaaram is spectacular
Sify’s and OneIndia’s are more realistic!

My advice to all : Reduce your expectations, then you’d enjoy the film.. 
@IceFusion : I believe the film is being dubbed and released in Hindi & Telugu also ..
EDIT: Found out that the Hindi version is not releasing simultaneously.. It’s releasing on June 27.

Rediff/Sify were saying that plans were on to showcase the film to the US prez coz one of Kamal’s avatar in the movie is of George Bush. So yeah, an English translation might also be there!
i heard reviews were not too good.. pretty much expected after seeing the trailer

Realistically, think about it..
10 avatars in a film ..Considering it even to be 3 hours long, that’s a paltry 18 mins. per avatar. And I guess the character cannot establish itelf in such short a time.
Bloggers have trashed it,but rediff and the likes are raving about it.Half of the ‘avatars’ have nothing to do with the plot apparently, and are there for namesake. Throw in some Atheist vs theist dialogues and some Himesh songs and you have an irritating movie. its more than 3 hrs long so I’m not going to watch it anytime soon … All the best to those who do…
The graphics are decent i heard
watched it yesterday second show. dunno why I decided to go to that movie even when it was offered for free to me…
totally ed up movie. I could see Kamal Haasan’s ego in trying to do every role in that movie. I couldnt help to notice theed up makup. since it was soo heavy, no facial expressions on any of the character.

apart from these things nothing is worth mentioning in that movie. btw I started hating myself for being soo excited about this movie.

Saw the movie today at inox here is my verdict
The movie was average in my opinion like the story line and narrative are really weak but the only thing that held the whole movie together was kamals acting, smart script,and screenplay.the movie had some really nice messages and it was well conveyed through kamals acting ,even though he proved his acting abilities by dawning the 10 avatars ,for the story some of the characters were sorta like deus ex machina like they were just introduced just to resolve the plot ,and some of the scenes were really cliche’d and i hated the fawk off attitude of fletcher,the make up looked a bit unrealistic but were well realized thanks to kamals acting and body language ,one of the strong points of the movie is the script which was really good,funny and witty,when it comes to special effects the movie was technically some what proficient compared to other tamil movies but it is really not that good like there were a lot of graphical botches here and there and some of the graphics just didnt blend into the scene ,as far as music concerned it was passable.stunt scenes were well realized but the Hollywood influence can be seen blatantly.as far as other cast are concerned many of them did a good job and asin was DOWNRIGHT IRRITATING WITH HER SQUEAKY VOICE but her acting was passable.The cinematography was also good but some what inconsistent due tot he constant movement of the camera it felt very unnatural .so finally DASAVATHARAM IS A GREAT EFFORT AND A NICE GENRE MOVIE even though the story and narrative were weak on the whole the screen play and kamals acting ,good script held the whole film together

My friend saw the movie and sent me a sms (mass sms) that its not worth watching in theater (yeah right as if am gonna watch )
was going to watch that movie tnight..but went lazy and here I am!
If someone watched kamalahassan’s “hey ram” -pls tell is this movie also of the same type!?
