Anshul, Pranav: Brilliant pics!!

Blufox: I agree, the source was dark to begin with and PP resulted in additional darkness. The shot was taken in the evening with decent light, but the sky was getting over-exposed, hence I increased the shutter speed to compensate. I have to get a hang of vertorama to side step such issues…

Well the entire background was Orange…I did layer masking and made everything B&W except heart

Nice composition Sahil…I’m observing most of your pics are kinda dark…is it intentional? If not then you need to recalibrate your monitor

Blufox: Can you give more details on the shot?

I am planning on buying a TTL flash (Nissin Di622) but my body doesnt support wireless flashes. Is there a way to synch my pop up flash and the external flash?

Shot was done with 20 hours of planning and 5 minutes of frustration . Trust me strobist attempts initially are not fun.

Anyway I used a 15W CFL Lamp with a home made reflector(from cardboard and packing foil) and a home made lamp shade of chart paper and Al foil.

Used a carton Box to make an ad Hoc lightbox. Shot in live view as I could not bend enough ( I am over weight … lol ).

yes you can use it but as off camera flash mostly and in Manual mode only. You ll need a set of Transmitter and receivers.

oh BTW to sync your pop up flash with a manual flash, you ll need optical triggers which I do not prefer. I think Radio triggers are much better.
