The TechEnclave Wallpaper Mega Thread [Desktop and Mobile]

It’s time to create a collection of wallpapers handpicked by TechEnclave Members. Post your old/new Desktop as well as mobile wallpapers here. You may post the pic with source if possible, whenever you find something cool. There is no limit as to how many pics somebody can post. Remember that all pics must be family friendly. For eg. Do not post wallpapers with Bikini models or gore [or everything in between]. Post things that normal everyday people can use on their Desktop/Smartphone/Tablet/Laptop.

You may add a description to your pictures, briefing why exactly you find it strikingly good. It can be a line, a paragraph or a full blown essay. You’re more than welcome to show off your talent!

Note that TechEnclave allows max upload size of 1 MB per attachment. If your wallpaper exceeds that size, you can take a screenshot of that and mention the source underneath for others to download the wallpaper in its original size.

Heavenly Nature - 1920x1200 px - Scenic. Serene. Sublime.

I have a dynamic wallpaper that gives you a live picture of the earth from the Japanese weather satellite Himawari. You will need Wallpaper Engine on Steam for this -

It shows Indian subcontinent on the left side so you can see it right now in this pic if you look carefully enough.

How are you guys able to attach wallpapers? It says file size is too large for me as limit is only 1MB.

In that case, you can open the picture in your gallery/photo viewing application without maximizing the app. The next step would be to take a screenshot of only the wallpaper in that state. This would ensure that you grab a low res screenshot to post as a reference here.

As noted on the OP, you can then post that low res pic here as reference and provide the link to the full res picture underneath.

I don’t know how else to do it.

I was able to upload 1.7mb wallpaper without any issue

Been using this image for wallpapers, dp, etc for as long as I can remember. I think the crown was a clip art icon (couldn’t find source); I remember editing it a bit on GIMP and adding black background to fit my 2k display. I like this simply for how minimal it is and how easy it is on the eyes for using in my usually dark room.

For a brief while though, I remember using this as I liked it so much. I clicked & edited this picture, when I visited Chikkamagaluru with friends.

I like minimalist wallpapers, I’ve been using this one and the same rainmeter set up for I think a decade now.

I used to collect these from user communities years ago. Only to realise while the photos were great but as wallpapers over 95% were useless because they were too busy and distracting and it made finding any icons harder

This is an example of half way. Not great but usable. The best are those with uncluttered backgrounds or negative space. Minimalist designs works well.

Looks like some mythical city of the minions! What location is this? I’d love to pay a visit in the future.

It is the famous Crown Jewel at Changi Airport, Singapore.
At night with lights, it is even better. Unfortunately my arrival and departure flights were in the morning.

Credit for this first pic goes to some internet stranger who I don’t remember. It’d look perfect without the plastic garbage down on the ground!

Time for some splendid mobile wallpapers!
