The खड़ूस बुड्ढा Thread (people being sourpuss)

Disclaimer:

I don’t know how read or write Hindi, I just know those two words mean khadoos budda, or sourpuss in english.

Background:

I’m the customer, I’ve placed over a 100k in orders with this “3d printing supplies” business, I’m contacting them over their WhatsApp business account.

I asked for a quote, was ignored for a few days, asked again, was sent a QR image to pay, the amount was more than the QR image limit of 2000 so I paid directly to their upi.

They didn’t like it:

Previously:

The previous incident they’re referencing was to an order on their website, the first attempt was stuck on pending for 8 hours so I sent a second payment to expedite the order but then the first one succeeded and I asked for a refund.

They were not happy about giving me a refund for the double payment.

Additionally:

This place charges more than their competitors and take longer to process orders, and they’ve messed up a custom order at least once in the past. So why do I even bother going back to them, I have no idea.

Umm my experience was the other way i.e. mobile num/direct upi addr had limits for direct pay but scan is ok for higher amount.

IME, even small road side vendors are better in this regard. Once, I was distracted and entered upi pin for the amount and paid 4 figures for what should be a 30-40 Rs. The guy just said settlement happens at midnight/weekly basis and promptly paid the amount back later.

They know the value of a customer.
