na man, its just greed and regulatory failure. Ideally, you should take AMC and get it serviced by them. Filter only needs to be changed when it gets used up and waterflow slows down. We have had no issue in previous model for more than a decade. Water was always fine.
We have had it serviced maybe 5-6 times this year instead of around twice i think. Recent visit happened just in 2-2.5 months after last one. And water just stops instead of slowing down which is very inconvenient.
The guy who does the work, works for company that is contracted by Eureka Forbes. He has been servicing our water filters for more than a decade. He himself admitted that EF does this so that people who don’t ask get billed for multiple unnecessary filter changes ( i think AMC covers 1 change). Filters should slow down once they choke which also depends on level of pollution in water, you don’t just stop water flow at an arbitrary point.
Hello all,
I’m looking to buy a water purifier to replace a very old Kent RO system. What are your thoughts on Livpure brand? I like their purifiers (specifically, the Allura Premia) the most, followed by Blue Star and then Kent. Located in Navi Mumbai if that makes a difference. Preferably looking to move away from the Kent brand because of high maintenance costs (filter prices). Already have a pre-filter installed. Thanks.
@@Stronk , buy local/generic brand water purifier, walk near by market and you will find at least 2-3 generic brand sellers, each & every branded water purifier need high maintenance cost (filter prices).
Generic brand seller too quote high but you can negotiate or buy directly from Az/FK the brand that have lots of spare options.
Bluelife has advantage of removable steel tank so that you can remove and clean it easily.
All cartridges are of standard size so you can buy from anywhere and replace.
Will always prefer a local non branded one which I can maintain by myself. 4.5years since I last replaced membrane and filter in my current RO. only had to replace sediment filter in the external housing. still does its job, getting good quality water.
Anyone here using Urban company Native water purifier ?
Need honest review
How’s your experience using it ?
What is the output TDS and can you adjust it ? I have seen some reviews stating TDS below 50
How often does the pre filter needs cleaning or replacement ?
It’s been perfect for my use case. We use an average of 4-5ltr per day and it’s been 13 months since I bought it.
Output TDS shows from the filter sensor and not the tank so it was always inaccurate from what was shown in the application, but since the last update it shows approx TDS (ss attached)
TDS can be adjusted by yourself. You’ll need to open the front housing and tighten/loosen the bolt for TDS.
My prefilter turned black in less than a year (4 different waters, borewell, tanker, BBMP and rainwater), they ordered a replacement and changed it for free. The filter health shown in the app is a gimmick, there’s no sensor to detect it, the health simply degrades based on time and usage.
The service is top notch.
Do you think gravity will be enough for uv uf filter (pre filter - sediment - carbon - uv - uf). Thinking of attaching a 15L tank above the uf filter, maybe 0.5m higher to manually feed water without overhead tank.
Or better to use a low pressure pump and feed to filter directly without overhead tank.
