Urgent: Need to buy WLAN router tomorrow

Should be good enough to connect PCs on 3 different floors …

Netgear? Linksys? Buffalo?

get netgear is better

Get buffalo…There’s this shop in N.p in the same row before costa coffee, Ive seen all the new buffalo routers there . Go see

get buffalo, its really good.

But it’s not under 3k is it ?

buffaaloo will come under 2.5k friend

Get the Buffalo WHR-G125(an upgrade to hugely popular WHR-G54S) I just bought one for 2.1k the other day.

Its the best VFM router and has an amazing range.

Set-up is straightforward and simple.

It’s compatible with 3rd party firmwares like DD-WRT and Tomato which further enhance its capabilities. But i’ll suggest to stick with the original firmware for the time being if you don’t need the extra features or a enhanced range.

Buffalo G125 ~2k.

Netgear sucks and sucks and sucks ( am a netgear customer and have it in my cupboard, I am not selling it to anyone cause I am sure it will destroy my rep). Go for Buffalo/Linksys.

Avoid Netgear at any cost. Buffalo / Linksys 4tw!

Your WiFi signal might not spread across 3 floors so buy a router that has provisions for attaching an external high gain antenna or a range extender.

from where can i download the firmware for buffalo WHR G-125 ?

Get the Buffalo WHR-HP-G54… Its about 3.7K… I am using the same and it work flawlessly… Its meant to be used as a high range router…

Good inputs by everyone but why are we discussing a query put up 7-months ago? :face_with_tongue:

Hehehe, thats what I was about to say. Anyway good to see you back amd4life

Get Buffalo one..

if i were u i would either go for the buffalo wzr2-300n or the dlink dir 655 depending upon ur budget…

pros: both are draft n routers meaning greater range nd speeds…bundle them with good client adapters nd i think u’ll be done

^ You’ll achieve N-Draft’s claimed speeds and extra range only if both your devices support 802.11n. Otherwise it’ll work just like a regular G-Router.

plz read this before u revert …

I was browsing online for buying a router. Based on the comments here i am thinking of either getting the Linksys WRT54G or a Buffalo G125.. but i am unable to find places to get the buffalo router in bangalore.. does anyone have any information on the same.

Also i find that one of them are stocking Asus router stating most of these features. does anyone have any idea about these?
