President Donald Trump says the US oil industry could be “up and running” with increased operations in Venezuela within 18 months, after a surprise military operation removed President Nicolás Maduro from power.

Trump told NBC News that “a tremendous amount of money will have to be spent, and the oil companies will spend it, and the oil companies will spend it, and then they’ll get reimbursed by us or through revenue”.

Read the US’s Security Report for this year, they make it pretty clear that China is USA’s biggest rival now and must stand up to them with force now, so US is trying to make all governments in South America pro US so they can import all the rare earths and other stuff without having to get them from China

Typical. The idiots protesting Trump’s action in Venezuela are not in the slightest bit interested in the views of Venezuelan immigrants who supported the action.

Because none of the anti-Trumpers is from Venezuela

Excellent rebuttal by a Venezuelan to anti Trumpers and makes the case for national security

Here is the SECDEF saying the same thing

If I was Maduro ..I would have asked for myself to be trial in an Indian Court only.

and than once transported to India for trial.

Quickly write an essay and leave for home or China ( would make more sense . Americans will never dare to try anything like that in China . Not even in their dreams)

Al Jazeera and NYT are terrible sources. NYT slams everything the US has been doing in Latin America for the last half century.

Match the comnentary to the government. Yeah

In this case a right of centre scholar commenting about a right of centre government’s policy.

Good interview

People were slamming the celebrations because they were outside Venezuela and not in the country

Well, the regime is still in place and anyone celebrating is going to be locked up

Open question whether things change or how they change with the ancien regime still in okace

Wasn’t it exposed that most of the celebration videos were AI generated?

Good point.

All the noise on twitter supporting the action can easily be faked and at the same time those tweets that don’t agree can easily be suppressed.

Her looks should have given you the clue.

There are Venezuelans of pure European ancestry. And there are those with mixed ancestry (mestizos). You can almost tell them apart by their looks.

Hugo Chavas and Maduro are both of mixed ancestry.

The ones celebrating are pure Europeans who want closer ties with countries dominated by Europeans.

US plans for Venezuelan oil

None of the Venezuelan citizen videos that I posted were AI generated.

All made the simple point not to Venezuela splain to Venezuelans what their problems are.

The useful idiots opposing Trump’s action are in effect excusing a narco terrorist communist dictatorship.

The effects of this operation are the most interesting. Any cartel leader in the Americas is open game. This isn’t new but going after Maduro kicked it up a notch.

What topples next? Iran? Cuba? Columbia?

Greenland (!) made euros temporarily shut up about Ukraine. Russia nibbling one end. US of all people making claims at the other

Haha, nobody knows. That’s why Trump is so hard to handle.

Cracking start to the new year and we’re only seven days in.

She said can’t celebrate in Venezuela as the regime is still there. Didn’t you watch it

What a strange and ignorant comment this is.

Race and mixed heritage isn’t an issue with Latinos.

This is hilariously ironic

Next ??

Russia > Ukraine

China > Taiwan

Wait a Minute…India was under British Rule .
You are putting British Empire’s sin on India’s head than an occupied country with no say at all.

Kya bhai kuch bhi…

Anyways…I dont understand your logic at all. let it rest..

btw Looks Like USA is billing Venezuela for the operation carried out on capturing Maduro.

Venezuela is made to pay $2.1 billion in oil ( 50 million barrel ) as payment for operation.

So the one who gets beaten is made to pay for being beaten .

Missed this one.

The operation (codename Absolute Resolve) was a masterpiece. Every military including ours needs to study it and make the necessary changes.

The buzzword is ‘jointness’. A fusion of different arms coming together to meet a requirement. Like magic.

This wasn’t achieved overnight. It started in the 80s for the US military and after around 60 generals got fired started to get off the ground. These general’s didn’t want to change. Didn’t want to share with others.

There will be similar pushback in our military. Though the Andaman command is showing promise it’s a tall order to get the rest on board towards a new operational mindset.

Indian muscle. Indian funds.

Who cares British or not.

Indian bachelors should take advantage of this situation. Ukraine, Venezuela have lovely women looking forward to getting out of their countries.
