Using Airtel AAP321NK as a repeater

I have an Airtel router that’s lying unused.

Is there anyway this can be used as a repeater? Or is it just ewaste?

@rsaeon @vivek.krishnan

is this the router that comes with airtel airfiber?

I have yet to see a wifi router from any ISP in India that supports repeating wifi signal from another router unless it is some sort of niche proprietary mesh ecosystem. You should be able to use it as a wired access point though.

Yep. That’s the one!

That, yes. But wouldn’t at all serve the purpose :weary_face:

I thought they take the router and odu with them when you cancel a connection. Are you still using airfiber with another router?

Nope. They didn’t take it back. Not using airtel. I wish they did. No point wasting something!

Doubtful - Airtel has locked down the router. Will check next week, we have this and will update.

@Navier I have something to try. Connect me on TGram: @foodie69

What you’re probably looking for is the bridge mode. See if the router has that option, though I doubt it would.
