Alienware 18 Area-51 Gaming Laptop is price at ₹3,37,354.3
while same config 16 inch Alienware 16X Aurora Gaming Laptop is price at rs 189,556.26 with 5060 graphic card .i just want to know is 18 inch laptop more comfortable to work then 16 inch .is anyone using 18 inch laptop ? what make 18 inch laptop so costly inspite of same config and processor so costly ,

alienware m18 R1 i9 13 generation 32gb ram 4070 1tb getign around 1.9 lakhs and rog asus strik 18 getting arounf 1,8 lakhs which one should i buy .both are refurbhised laptop.or should i go for new Alienware 16X Aurora Gaming Laptop with i9 ulta core processor 16 gb ram for 1.8
15-16 inch is probably the most common form factor sold by laptop manufacturers, hence they’re able to bring costs down..
Even 13-14 inch laptops cost more sometimes than their 15/16 equivalent, they give the reason that to fit the same stuff in a smaller chasis, they need more r&d, which is also true, but even in that case, they know they’ll sell less units of the smaller device, and have to make up for it by having more margins..
18 inch sales are even more scarce..

The second one could be material costs, like you say the specs are basically same, but it’s not like that, the heatsinks are bigger, the display is bigger, the chasis is bigger, the motherboard is also probably bigger, all these add up, and at low production volumes, they tend to have high costs..
Plus they also know if someone is willing to buy such a ‘niche’ product, they’re probably willing to spend extra.. So they can milk that customer even further..
