I got a notification from the Internet security team of my company that they are seeing constant hits to some URL like "loadus.exelator.com " from my machine and they suspect there is a malware or something. They did remotely used processexplorer and such things to see if anything suspicious is running and there isn’t.
I tried searching on the internet but got little information. But i did find that it may be embedded in some webpages or so and the track the websites visited.
Anyone knows exactly what this thing is and how to stop it ?
I use firefox to access internet.
On some suggestion, i just installed add on named Noscript, not sure if it will be any good.
Is there a tuba33u5.exe file in your system somewhere?
Nothing of that sort found. Also the link you gave is not accessible from office network so cannot check what is mentioned there.
Quoting from his site:
Opera seems to have eaten the spaces between words during copying. If you don’t have that exe file probably its in cache somewhere or coming from some ad in browser.
Best option would be to use Firefox with ad block plus add on. Any ads that pass through you can manually add filter in preferences too.
As of now i have used adblock in firefox to block this website. Additionally i have already installed previously a block site addon and under that too i have blocked this website.
Forgot to add that you can use netstat to see what program is pinging that site.
Just add a hosts entry for the same to 127.0.0.1 to block it.
Scan with MalwareBytes. Works 99% of the times. Dont wanna think about the remaining 1%
