I have plenty of small complaints since the forum was moved to this new layout and heavily pruned as well.. But the biggest atm is the absence of deal sharing threads..
During sales the fk and amazon deal threads used to prove extremely beneficial as so many deals were shared by all.. But now they have been killed..
Atleast I wasn’t able to find them.
Search has gotten so stale as it shows threads from many years back… may be there is a setting foe that which I am unable to find so that the order could be fixed.
There are other thongs also that are leading to all or this becoming so in interesting..
Hmm..I am fully with you on the older way -dedicated thread for deals. But if you read through the feedback you will find why majority folks felt otherwise. And slickdeals is here.
The newer category structure allows a neat 2D approach to deals.
You can scroll vertically through deal thread titles (just like posts in a thread), to see the entire list of deals.
And you can open the thread, if you are interested in discussion around that deal.
Well its matter of perspective which is better or good
I feel old thread were better , one for Amazon and one for FK . One just had to post 2 things in that . For checking individual deals desidime was always better and has far greater variety and listing
One came here to just check important tech or other good deals on these 2 sites as desidime has way too many listings of items including self promotion . Thats takes scrolling of 15 min to find an idea of todays deals
TE was never in competition of DD for deal posting , many many times deals were posted from DD only but users still did it
If TE is trying to compete with deal posting with DD then its a difficult proposition for TE
SD/DD works because of website - “Seedhi Baat No Bakwas” and earn through the commissions . TE is not a deal forum but if someone clicks through TE than thats good .
Both deals thread were killed , they should be again opened and TE should get something from the links
