I can order online at my hotel address but I am not sure about delivery dates. I would like to physically see and check the product because it will not be possible for me to return/exchange if it is defective.
For the speakers, is it possible to just walk-in Samsung stores [listed on Samsung Malaysia website](’
) and buy? I have doubts because it is not a fast selling product and dealers might be getting it on order. I have limited time there so I can’t afford to go every Samsung shop and check. I would prefer if I can get these at a mall (like [Low Yat Plaza](’
Somehow, I think getting speakers will be easier but I Zidoo will be difficult. I have chatted with a dealer about Zidoo but I will have to travel 24 kms. (one way) from my place in KL for that. So, I need more options in/near malls.
Please suggest the place where I can go and buy these.
no idea about all of this, but dont buy Zidoo, Ugoos AM6B is the best media streamer/player around with CoreElec installed on it, its probably the only player available which can play DV without weirdo compromises.
Personally, I went with Homatics Box R 4K plus since Ugoos AM6B+ would have to be run on CoreElec and not android, and I would miss the various streaming apps.
On topic, you should ask this in reddit subs of those countries. Someone there might be able to point out the shops/malls the locals know and trust.
Requirement is to play all sort of media with 4K dolby vision, hdr 10+ with audio like atmos (with true hd) and dts:x, dts-hd-ma from my NAS through wired LAN. I already have nvidia shield pro 2019 for this purpose but that will go to other room. And getting a 8K player will be future proof for next 2-3 years at least. I am quite comfortable with Kodi.
For OTT app streaming, I have fire sticks in all rooms and I (and my family) am quite happy and used to it.
Ugoos for you hands down, since you are fine with Kodi, it works fine with Ugoos, and fyi, even with shield, you had to make some compromises, its just you probably didnt notice them or DV didnt play for you (Dolby Vision logo should be visible once you start playing a file).
~~Look at this sheet for player comparisons in regards to DV compatiblity/other compromises ~~ its been deleted rip
6b+ anyways doesnt have the newer android version, so you wouldnt have been able to use NF anyways, all you are trading in is some compatibility issues with VC-1 and issues with older BDs, well worth the price imo, I’m also really torn between the two but leaning towards 6b+ since core elec’s main development happens on it
no, this is for kodi, though this also works, there was one which focused only on DV playback and drawbacks, it was really good. just looked through PTP forums, and even there, there’s no updated link
EDIT: found it
P.S. for others, if anyone is open to a GB for 6B+, lmk
Just now checked, my nvidia shield plays Dolby vision smoothly. May be the person who created that sheet talking about Dolby Vision Profile 7 or some other profile. That might not be deal breaker for me.
Profile 7 is what you get with most BDs/Remuxes, so if a player cant play P7 properly, then you might as well say it doesnt play DV,
remember as a general thumb rule:
Web-DL: P5
BluRay/Remux: P7/P8
you can judge whether you need P7 support or not based on your viewing habits, if you are used to OTTs only, then no need to change out Shield, but if you ever decide to grab a remux/blu ray, its highly likely it wont play properly on the shield
P.S. I linked the wrong sheet inside the excel, you need to change the sheet and go to DoVi playback devices sheet
