I’m planing to upgrade my system and get an Athlon 64 s754 based config.
I wanted to know which mainboard chipset, which offers best performance, currently the 3 available ones are nforce, via and SiS. I don’t plan to OC it, so which mobo gives the best performance at stock speeds at cheapest price

If you dont plan to OC then Asus K8v is good too..

How’s the Gigabyte K8V.Its cheaper by asus’s nforce3 by 1000 bux, and got onboard video too, though don’t need it, but still can be useful for backup.
get the msi k8 neo v…has onboard video nd is 1000 bucks less
How much is msi k8 neo V for, the cheapest mobo as told by my vendor in markets is Asus k8s on SiS chipset for 4100 rupees followed by Gigabyte K8V800M-L 4250
neo v is available for bout 4200 or so in mumbai…
ASUS K8N best of the lot. Should cost you around 5.5 K.
If u dont plan to OC then k8v is gr8 although the price difference b/w K8v and K8n is arnd negligible

I have checked on various pricegrabber type site that it is available for just over Rs 2700…Has anybody seen it in Richy street, Chennai
