i will be getting some used graphic card for my machine.
amd x620
biostar ta790 mobo
gigabyte Superb 460
kingston 2gbddr3
500st + 320wd
dvdrw

reason my 8800gts 320mb went kaput n out of warranty.

i dont and never oc my machine & use it for occasional gaming and nominal work.

so which card would run on my psu?
i’m planning for a used 9800gt, gts 240,gt 250 etc. or you guys suggest the best.
Budget is max 4.5k
Plz dont advice to change my psu wont b having funds for both things now for longtime.:ashamed:

Get a 5750 altho mite xceed ur budget by 1k or so els get a gts 250 or better still a 9800gtx+ if u can find one.

Get a 2nd hand HD4850 with warranty(~1.5 yrs+ warranty left) and bill. should cost u ~4k-4.5k

bt i guess 4850 is be more power hungry than 9800gt

so i will suggest 9800gt series

I Think an Ati Radeon HDß 5670,would suit your system just fine.

Plus,Do mention the resolution you game at

get 5750 or 5770 best for you and both are dx11 card plus you can play most of games without any hiccup on these cards and also these are less power hungry then the other cards..

For 4.5 K best go for HD 5670 or a 2nd hand ATI HD 4770 or 4850.Rest assured the superb can handle the 4850/4770

My friend has bought a 1GB GT240 for 4.5K

1GB HD5670 is about 5.3K but it has the advantage of DX11

Choice is yours

Both draw power only from Motherboard so no other power connector is required

They can even run on a local 350-450W PSU so you will be 10000% safe with these

Did u read his first post completely? He has a gigabyte Superb 460 and not a cr@ppy generic PSU. So he can get a card which consumes upto ~ 120-130w IMO.

Also its never advisable to run a PC with GFX card or even a decent PC with a generic PSU.

I would get 5670 512 mb ,since its over 1 gb is over your budget.

Go for 5670

ok guys thx for all suggestions
now tell me finally which one is the best of all as you suggested–
4770, 4850, 5670 or 5750

or should i wait for ati 6xxx series but i doubt they too wont run on my superb :frowning:

@ashish,

its simple.

You want a new card :Ati Radeon 5670

You want a second hand/used card : Nvidia 9800gt/Ati Radeon 4850

I would say u wait & save up money to buy the HD 6850 else get the HD 5750. But if u dnt want dx11 I suggest u get second hand HD 4870 512 MB for ~5k

4770, 4850, 5670 or 5750

4850>4770>5750>>5670

I would go for the 4850 if buying a used card is not an issue.

^^wrong! its this way
-5750 performs as well as a 4850 if not better
-4770 is slightly slower than a 4850

@ashish i wud suggest that u go ahead with a used 4850.it shud be quite easy to find on the members market.good luck.

If u can spend 4.8k… buy a new Sapphire Radeon HD4850 512MB comes with 3 years warranty from mediahome…
