Which intex speaker has good distortion free bass and sharp treble

hello guys, have an idea to replace my current intex 2.1 speaker 2000w. Though it has good treble, bass i need a better sound than this.
So I want to go for a different model of **Intex speaker only **because AFAIK Intex speakers alone have excellent distortion free bass and sharp treble. This may sound weird for you. But i became a fan of intex with regard to speakers.

I purchased a creative T3100 for my brother but m not satisfied with its bass and treble. Treble not upto the level and bass is with distortions.
Moreover it doesnt come with treble control. After buying , my brother himself told that my speaker quality is good than his . Also tried Altec lansing. Not satisfied..

Now if any of you have used the below models plz tell me about the sound quality , the sharpness and distortion free bass and tell me comparitively which is the best than my current intex 2000w speaker.

Just for academic purposes, which other speakers have you tried out that makes you believe Intex is the best?

@ OP… you mean you prefer Intex over altec lansing… never mind creative… seriously..??? what is you budget… maybe we could try to… ? uhhh… nevermind…

Frankly, I think the Thread Starter is making his assumptions based on some low end creatives. The only creatives he mentioned here are <$50 and lower end creatives are not that great and one can get decent speakers in Intex for a similar price. Intex is not trash as far as speakers are concerned, they have some decent sounding speakers (especially the ones with the wooden enclosures). So people on a budget might as well get high end Intex than the low end creatives. Of course they are no match for the Altec Lansing or the better creatives.

The Thread starter did not mention anything about PMPO output. All he said is that he wants better bass response. I think you are just as cluless about what the TP is talking about as you are presuming the TP is about Speaker terminology.

The 1st thing is i am intrested only with 2.1 speakers and also dont have enuf space for 4.1 or 5.1 speaker setup.

The 2nd thing is, i am using **YAMAHA DS-XG ymf724 PCI **2 channel sound card. If anyone has used this card (especially along with intex speakers) then they can tell how the intex speaker fares with this card, though this card works well with other speakers too.

The 3rd thing is ive even tried the intex 4.1 , but it didnt fare well as the intex 2.1

Have you heard about the old direct sound 3d HW acceleration in win 95/98/ME. In these, you would have heard about the 3d voices which exist only in HW accelerated sound cards like the creative 128 and the yamaha ds-xg series. The 3d voices are much realistic and distortion free in INTEX speakers.

Without knowing anything about speakers i bought the intex 2.0 speaker for the first time in the year 2001 to club it with the sound card which m currently having (yamaha) . I am not able to remember the model, but i think its labeled 1000w. I was surprised when i felt the excellent treble and distortion free bass in that speaker and was using that for sometime.

Then i became intrested in 2.1 speaker setup and i sold the above and bought intex 2000w 2.1 speakers ( the blue colored one) in 2003 . Then beleive me guys, the treble quality is awesome and marvellous and much much impressed on that speaker than my old 2.0 speaker since while gaming the sharpness of the treble is like tearing my ears. Very very realistic. In resident evil 4, there are no words to xpress the sound quality and sharpness.

Unfortunately after 3 yrs there was some minor problem with that speaker and i sold it and bought the same model speaker in the year 2006 (the black coloured one) (thinking that the quality will be like my old speaker since the model is same and for that reason i preferred selling it instead of repairing it ). But sadly, this speaker isnt that good as my old speaker but still the sound clarity is much better than creative or altec lansing and this is the speaker which i am currently having. I regretted much for selling my old 2.1 speaker.

Now… i want to bring the same sound quality which i had in my 1st 2.1 speaker ( the blue coloured). This is my intention… In simple terms, i want improvement in the sound quality.

Sorry for such a lengthy argument, but in order to make you friends know the previous history and understand my requirement i had to do this..

So is there anybody in this forum who is having a different model of intex 2.1 speaker other than mine ??

Creative Inspire M2600 2.1 is one of the worst speakers creative ever designed.

for once, you try AL VS4121 or Logitech Z-4 and you will understand why I consider Intex unworthy

and if you try AL MX-5021 (2.1 THX certified), you will not even think of any other set.

you really should try MX-5021 to know what realistic audio is like.

@TP: If you are not bound by budget constraints, then you should definitely try out MX5021. As I said before, you have made your opinions based on the lowest of the Creatives and Altec Lansing’s.

if you felt that “since while gaming the sharpness of the treble is like tearing my ears. Very very realistic”, this means that it is giving too much of high frequency sound aka treble You are missing lot of notes/tunes due to the overpowered treble and I am damn sure that your Intex speakers are having too much treble and far from being realistic sounding.

actually, by tearing my ears i meant the sound is so sharp. There is nothing like m missing notes/tunes, since m talking about the shooting sound and nothing else. When i played the same game with creative Inspire 2600 the sound is not natural or realistic.

yes i have the above speaker only. But before this, the blue coloured one was there and its the best of the best..

I also hear sound of Intex IT 2600 (Blaster) and i like it better than my Altec Lansing AVS300B.Produce better bass and clear sound than my speakers …

how can you say that there are no missing tunes when you havent’ tried “The speakers”.

I told earlier that recent Creative Inspires are one of the worst and yes, I do accept that Intex is better than those Inspires.

My first speaker set was Creative SBS 370 2.1 and I thought that they were one of the best speakers made for PC. That was when I was in college and my roommates had one Tech-Com and one Mercury set (same as the Intex one you had). This one pwned them easily.

Then when I replaced them with Philips MMS 430 2.1, I felt that SBS 370 was lacking in lot of detail. Gunshots sound good and feels good but when the same came out of MMS430, I was shocked.

Then I replaced MMS430 with Creative Inspire M4500 4.1. That was the worst thing I did. Sold them off in a week.

After giving lot of thought, I went to purchase Logitech Z-4 and instead went on to buy MX-5021 and now, I feel that I almost attained audio nirvana.

Me and my friends watched “Jurassic Park” Original DVD which has THX certification. When dinosaur start running, we felt like it was running next to our room and the dinosaur’s screams felt so threatening. Now, that’s called realistic audio.

MX-5021 costs around 6.5k if I am right and am in bangalore.
These are the models that you should be looking for:

Altec Lansing VS4121: 2.5k
Logitech Z-4: 5k approx
Edifier C3: 4.5k-5k
Altec Lansing MX-5021 THX: 6.5k
Logitech Z-2300 THX: 7.5k

If you want to enjoy the audio completely, my suggestion would be MX-5021 nonetheless.

for good 5.1, Logitech X-540 would be a great choice.

the other day i went to chroma.. was just looking for a 2.1 speaker with my bro and I must say intex 2.1 sounded better than logitech z4 for half the price..logitech had super bloated bass..neways try out the mx 5021 if u have the budget, u will forget intex…

^^hmm. you can reduce the bass in Z-4. It’s audio output is very good and that I can assure. Did you check bass levels when you were playing.

btw, if I connect MX-5021 to my Cowon D2, they sound too muddy and bassy because I use equalizer and jet effect settings on my D2 to produce a bit more bass and treble in my earphones and the same effect creates too much bass and treble in MX-5021 making it sound like a coughing machine. What I did is I saved two profiles, one optimized for MX-5021 and other for in-ear headphones and that solved the problem.

Should be similar in your case too with source not optimized to give proper input to Z-4.
