Which Smartphone to Buy?

Well today i sold my Sony Ericsson K508i to buy a new smartphone. :blush:
Well as of my budget, its arnd 15k max.

My options are :

  1. Nokia 6630.
  2. Nokia 6600
  3. Nokia 3230
  4. Nokia 7610
  5. Nokia 6260
  6. Sendo X

Well I think that the 6630 is the best nang for buck in its price & fatures.Just want the opininon of u people on that.
And do anyone have the idea of the street price of the 6630(with & without bill). I am being quoted at my place a price of arnd 15k with bill.
First hand experience frm anyone having a N6630 would help gr8 ly.

no offence but i have read that whole thread started by bluediamond, but I am more biased to buying a smartphone rather than a java based phone.I want opinions towards the 6630 & its street price as well as grey price.

Just dont want to hijack that thread, if u insist i can conntinue there or u may move or merge the topic & posts.

yeah 6630 brilliant phone provided that u like it’s design…

the ONLY phone in that range of smartphones frms nokia with acceptable mp3 stereo player..

otherwise put in some more dough and go fr 6681

6630 is nice in its features.

But the new 7610 looks much better than it.

Same features really. So its rather that you go on looks above anything.

6260 has bad build quality (very unlike nokia). But if you can put up with it, its ok. Check out the forum for a review. Would still reccomend the 6630 if you can deal with its shape :slight_smile:

6630 over all the rest. Anyday. Period.

The 6630 has a blazing fast 220 Mhz arm proc. It will beat any other nokia smartphone in your list by a big margin. Other phones have either a 104 Mhz or 114 Mhz processor.

The Sendo X has a lot of problems and should be avoided.

Just got a news that the price of the Nokia 6630 has been cut by almost 3000 in the last of september. Now i heard its arnd rs 13.7k with bill,but its not available at my place as here theres only the old stock costing arnd 17k.

Do anyone of u have the idea , i mean is it true that the new price is 13.7k with bill? & what the price without bil?Plz enlighten me as i zeroed on to buy a Nokia 6630 only after reading countless reviews on the web

@goldebfrag-- What r u saying? New 7610, i dont know whether thers any updated model of 7610,anyways its features are not upto 6630 & moreover its unique looks is the thing that leads to keypad problems .

& yeah i dont have any problems with its design & looks

Get the 6630 dude, you wont regret your decision.

AFAIK prices in Mumbai were at 14k last week

@Anish-- Were the prices with bill & warranty.

Anyone have the idea of the prices without bill.

Another thing is that whether the sis files of 6600 like smart Movie will work in 6630 too,just wanna make that sure as otherwise i have to again download hard to find sis files

Yup SIS files indeed do play on a 6630. Infact the 6630 will handle all file types using its inbuilt Real Media Player. You can also install Smart Movie Player to increase the functionality of the phone.

As for prices, yes 14k without bill. If your looking for a bill then it’ll be around the 17k mark :wink:

@anish : huh? sis isnt a media format. its an install file. and i doubt the rmp can play xvid files which smart MP can.

@renegade2 : yes…as it is symbian based, any sis you installed on you 6600 will work as well.

LMAO @ anish ! .sis files are installation files like .exes for symbian. One honest advice anish cut down on the the BS you’ve been creaming your posts with ;).

@ regenade: Mate chances of the sis files for thr 6600 running on the 6630 are 50/50 cuz the symbian version on the 6630 is newer and so incompatibilities might rise.

Its all based on the Symbian OS.

All almost ALL .sis files will work in the phone.

My friends had this cell for 2 weeks, then he sold it off as its was too heavy and looks pretty crappy.

I installed smart movie, ultra mp3, go mp3, and some more shit it all worked.

This was from the .sis’ i used on my n-gage qd.

Taken from symbian site. There are some differences i believe in both the versions of the operating system. Hence the statement that some apps might have problems working. Btw which fone are you talking about ? 6600 or 6630 ?

Well as far i know apps may not work as well as 6630 is symbian 8, anyway 90% apps of 6600 should work.

As of the 6630 if i buy without a bill, is there any problem regarding warranty.

I enquired the prices, the new prices are 13999 with bill, had no info abt without bill though.Got the price from

anyeway, if you look on torrentspy, you can get a software pack specifically for the 6630 :wink:
