Content is openly sold to Indians, but why is there no restriction levied by government on such OTT channels/apps (netflix, amazon prime, etc.) ?
A normal movie in cinema theater (with mild inclusion based on 18+ rating) when comes to local/everyday channels (zee/sony/star) is restricted/censored on most of scenes

The movie industry is just making it the new normal. As recently I saw on jiohotstar even the ad for a movie called Sweetheart was so intense.

Some ott platforms were banned in 2024 for hosting obscene content. So there is some regulation.
Most Infamous ones for raunchy content were spared.
