It seems on Nov 8,Asus will release their 680i based board along with the official 8800 launch.

Its being said that the 680i is going to be a kickass chipset for OC. Even Tony has something similar to say,so who knows,it might really be the next BIG thing for C2D and QC.
Will be exciting to know how this thing fares.
Eagerly waiting for Coolaler or Andre Yang to do some initial testing. 
What kinda wierd layout is that… those heatpipes are all over the place. Can’t fit a big air cooler, can’t even put in the 8pin EPS connector probably. Its like a big duh 
.

Anyways, I think we should wait for some prilimary results.. Need to know how performance is… :)..
^^ Asus isnt stupid enough to design a board which has a layout which hinders proper installation of the EPS connectors.
Although i agree that the heatpipe thing is overdone.
Its rumoured that the 680i is one hot chipset.Maybe its because of that ?
Also it has all metal caps ,yaaay !!!
The heat will move in circles with all those heatpipes, round and round 
Only thing attractive is SLI + physics slot. But if it’s a $300 board, bleh

the MOST interesting part is that Sham says its YUMMYY !!
Tony says its HOT !
now considering that these comments are coming from great people like these just gives substantial hint as to whats in store.
Performance will obviously override everything else including design (ex, AW9D-M), so let’s see what this board can do when it’s out - if it does as well as the Abit and is available in India at a decent price, wouldn’t be a bad idea to test/taste it
