Are any of these recommendations good for gaming where spatial cues are important for games like counter-strike ?
I also want to buy in-ear wired earphones. Strictly no for headphones.

Get simgot ew300. Itâs the best for fps gaming. Although a bit pricey
No idea how it stacks against others, i am not really an audiophile and havenât done any research. All these brands are alien to me.
But Samsung EHS64 has been working nicely for me. I have used Bose and a sound magic one in past. Sound magic broke easily and wasnât worth it, bose had its cable melt after long use. They all sounded fine, but so does this one. Before EHS64, i used to use Philips and then sennheiser (CX180) but they all broke too often. Sennheiser has good warranty but its a hassle as they fail reliably.
Even EHS64 broke a few times but not that bad and its cheap.
And the last batch seems to have shifted production to Vietnam. These ones seem to have better durability ( but mic seems to fail .. )
Sometimes i think about looking at other stuff, but i am happy with this one. Too much hassle to change.
Itâs been like 2 years since I heard these same recommendations. Has nothing changed much in the ultra cheap IEM price bracket? I still have a pair of VE monk plus buds which were crazy for the price (800rs)
It is a typical v shaped earphones with overpowered bass and treble. In general people like this tuning a lot and it pairs well with our bollywood music too but here the bass is a bit too overwhelming and itâs bleeds into mids. I have used multi pairs of them when I was kid and might have one or two still lying around somewhere.
This is the graph of the same:
The dotted line is the harman target curve.
Currently using boat bassheads 225 , seeing the price of simgot ew300 made me cry, any other recommendations which are a bit cheaper ?
Whatâs the budget range?
Around 3-4K max
I recommend you to go for kz edc pro for gaming. This has a wide soundstage but the build quality is a bit meh but then what more can you expect for such cheap iem. This is the best in sub 2000 range when it comes to gaming. Start with this and get to know what you like and what you donât like and later you can upgrade based on your preference. I deserve a gift for saving your money
I have the XM4 earbuds. Are you talking about the headphones instead by any chance? If yes, only the XM5s are available, besides the dodgy build quality, they are quite expensive.
Headphones. Earbuds are bad at passive noice cancellation.
I agree about XM5 build quality. I have xm4, and I have used XM5. Xm4 build is much better and I like how it folds easily.
So i mostly listen to instrumental stuff or the instrumental parts of songs most of the time. Not Bollywood.
Plus game music, games ( not competitive ), movies etc. On desktop / mobile and Firestick ( have 3 different EHS64 one for each .. )
As random example currently listening to this. Other examples, Nuvole Bianche, Kaer Morhen, mafia 3 and some old heavy metal stuff like Iron maiden/metallica etc but generally again i play more of the instrumental sections. Basic mp3, not wavs or flacs.
Is there something that you think is noticeably better ( for someone not into technicalities )?. I donât prefer boomy bass, but i would like it to be audible too. This is a nice halo track for example. Ideally everything reasonably audible without having to raise volume.
I see that some of these have detachable cables. I common problem in past has been that one of the sides stop working ( recent EHS64 seem to be much better at this). Does detachable cable help ? Are these cables easily available ?
Ideally not something that breaks easily, although i wont be throwing them around. No budget, but something not too expensive to begin with, as per past experience i felt it wasnât worth it. Say 2k-3k max for me.
I would suggest the realme buds 3 wired, I have been using the buds 2 for a while now and they have been excellent
Get IEMS , tws at this price arenât worth it . Iâd recommend joining the HeadPhoneZone Circle forum and getting a Tangzu Waner or Chu 2 . KZs have quality issues.
if you need a tws , get the Oneplus buds 3 , Iâve been using them for a while now and the build quality + ANC is top notch . The sound quality isnât all that but messing around with the EQ makes a huge difference .
As for IEMs , if iâm not wrong about the pricing Kefine klean is the best one in this range.
Thank you for all the recommendations.
Going with these two .
TYPE C .
Hearing alot good things about iems so want to experience it .
Theyâll be okay, wonât surprise you or anything. Kz is kinda meh imo, I had their zsn pro ages back and my gosh the treble on those were excessive. 1.5k is a better budget.
Ew200 is still in stock(which I still have and love the all metal build), although maybe the crinacle zero red might be worth it at that price point.
can you share the link ?
Both are priced at more than 5k
