Thanks to a recent sale on Ubiquiti access points here, I now have the “problem” of figuring out how to power one. The obvious solution is a PoE injector, but once I started thinking about PoE, I realized I might as well move my Sonoff Zigbee hub over to PoE too. Running two separate injectors just to power two devices seems wasteful and messy.
So I’m leaning toward getting a PoE switch instead. Ideally, I’d like a 4–8 port Layer-2 Managed PoE+ switch — mainly for future proofing and VLAN flexibility.
