Well .. i face problem with v7.5 .. so i’ll definitely try this out ..

There was a bug in the previous version (7.5 i think) which changed ur status to available automatically even if u were invisible :O… Thats why i switched back to v7 … i hope this has been resolved.

AAAEEE! Ugly MSN-like ads in yahoo messenger!!

Since there isn’t anything like Apatch for yahoo, i was looking for another way to get rid of them… Here’s what i Found:

Open Regedit, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ Yahoo\pager\YUrl and create a new string value named Messenger Ad that has the value * (an asterisk).

Well, this messenger beats 7.5 … v7.5 used to change ur status to visible after some time, but in this, we remain invisible on our PC but are still visible in others lists :O…

what a load of crap! uninstalling now, back to v7…

To remove the annoying ad at the bottom of the Yahoo Messenger window, all you need to do is to follow this simple sequence of steps!!1

Open Regedit (by going to START —> RUN and typing “regedit.exe” )

Then navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ Yahoo\pager\YUrl and create a new string key named Messenger Ad that has the value * (an asterisk). (to create a new string, just right click on the right side window and go to new → String Value. then once it is created, right click on MESSENGER AD and click on modify. There set the value to *.

And then close everything. If you have logged in to Yahoo messenger, then exit Yahoo messenger and relogin.

It should work.

I did it and it worked perfectly fine. So, now no annoying ads at the bottom of the window :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

i absolutely love the itunes plugin here…u can even scratch the LP thats rotating. YIM automatically searches for album cover on the net and simulates the playing of an LP.
