Storage Solutions 1.5 TB HDD choices

^Nope! Not the Seagate LP 2TB drives at least. Been using 2 of them since the past month as backup drives and have had no issues by far.

Well... most were the 1 TB ones from WD and seagate. But yea there were few reported DOA's from 1.5 and 2 TB also.

Anyways Backup Backup Backup...
 
Gannu, the ones you are talking about are the 5900 RPM drives too? Doesnt Seagate have any 7200 RPM drives in 1.5tb or 2 TB ranges?

IMHO 1month is too less a time to test a device specially when that device is a HDD :P .. I am questioning the Long term reliability of these drives

Seagate Barracuda XT 2TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache 6.0Gb/s SATA @ Err.. Not yet available in India I think.
