Hey ,
I wanted to purchase a split ac for my living room.It has to be a 1.5T ,because the previous AC wasn't that effective as it was a 1.0T.

I've shortlisted the following two -
Daikin FTE50/60NRV16
Panasonic CS-KC18PKY

Which one should I go for ?
Which is a better choice according to you guys ?

Is there any other options which you all would like to suggest , please do so.
Cash is not the problem , but It shouldn't be above Rs45k.

Awaiting your replies,
Thanks!

The Daikin is ancient - uses R-22 gas and has a low 3-star efficiency. The Panasonic uses the more modern R410a gas and is rated 5 stars.

Whats your usage like for the front room? If its being used quite a bit, you could squeeze in an Inverter AC under 45k. The Panasonic CS-YS18PKY comes to mind.

usage number of hours/daily? number of people in living room? ambient temperatures in goa? time of usage?

since u want it within 45k, check out sharp as well; your manufacturers are decent as well... search the te threads loads of air con discussions and snaps..

the models you mentioned are a bit old, for longer hours and lower electricity bills ( if these are valid factors) go for inverters

Yes,the usage is almost the entire day except for
a few hours during the mornings ,as no one Is at home during that time.
Are there any Inverters below 45k ?

The usage is mostly the entire day ,except a few hours in the mornings ,as no one Is at home during that time.Mostly only 3 people max. are present in the room.
In Goa ,there are no dealers for Sharp,so that's not possible.
Are there any good Inverters below 45k ?

Hows the performance, any issues? , you got installation kit with it ( copper pipe etc) ? panasonic is giving free installation with their Acs right now .

Its has R22 or R410A ? not mentioned anywhere on their site or any online stores, I know most inverters use R410A but there is a Daikin inverter Ac that uses R22 .
