1 TB External harddrive buying advice

Guys I am at the end of my graduation, need to buy a 1 tb hard disk to fill it up with all the stuff available in our college(iit kgp) lan(DC++)

so want a quick advise on

which one to buy?

usb 2.0 enough or usb 3.0 is a must?

flipkart or other online store or Direct shop??
 
WD passport. But mind you, HDD prices are still on the higher side.

flipkart delivered a HDD to my friend within 48 hours. Cheaper than local shops.

USB 3.0 is not a must, but it comes at a small premium.
 
yep...even am look out for HDD. They are very costly when compared to a year or 18months back. I even checked out in dubai. Its very very costly there. Better wait if u can.
 
I Bought the 1TB WD My Passport SE off Flipkart for 4.6K.. Next day, when I saw, the price was 7.6k! Lucky me!!

Its a Great HDD with USB 3.0! Speeds are awesome..

Cons:

Build isnt that great

Prone to scratches

Proprietary USB cable - Now this sucks!

I Recommedn you to Take the Transcend Storejet.

My friend has it.. Speeds are good too..
 
can't wait becoz am leaving campus in a month..... Just ordered WD 1 tb for 6500+ from flipkart... I know its costly but I dont think nothing much can be done
