PC Peripherals 10 ml printer cartridge

How many do u want 2 print? I don't think anyone here has ever tested this. Saw a test report in an issue of Digit or Chip..if I find it, I'll post it but seriously, does it really matter? Cheaper printers, as a rule, consume more ink. But if u're the average kind of user, it should last quite long. If u r into heavy duty plain text printing, a laser or matrix would b more economical.

@Naga, I dont think your answer helped him, for all you know he needs that info for some particular use...:)

@amitmk,

I just found this info. this may help u
Remanufactured Black Inkjet Cartridge for the Hewlett Packard HP DeskJet 3325 InkJet Printer; Print Yield 220 pages based on 5% density.
I think, it means @ 5% paper coverage, it will print approx 220 pages. In draft mode u may get more.

And yes, when u buy a entry level printer, the most important thing is the catridge yield. Good u noted that, as many find it out only after buying the printer.

Generally, I find entry level printers (Don't confuse this with price,as u can get a higher level printer for less price during sales or promotions) have longer life and less mainteneance cost as their catridges can be refilled easily.Even a new one is much cheaper.....

i needed that info coz i need to print abt 1000-1500 pages from a pdf file. It is actually a n American text book.

I got my black cartridge refilled.... but it still says that the cartridge needs to be replaced. any suggestions to get that to print??

Also, does anyone know where in the western suburbs of Mumbai can i get print outs for really cheap??

Thanks

Does the catridge has a chip....Maybe it needs resetting tooo...
or make sure u placed the catridge properly, cancel that message and give some print jobs...
see whether it prints..

My 2 cents......

remove the cartridge and then reinsert it when it asks you to change. It should register it as full then. dont unplug the printer while doing this, keep evryting online.

Amen :bleh: .About that comment about cheaper printers vis a vis higher ink usages,it was based upon my personal experiences with the HP line of 3400 series. Continous printing usually caused paper jams and ended up causing ink+Paper wastage, not 2 mention my peace of mind. And the ink usage was high putting it mildly. My new HP 1180c on the other hand keeps on printing and printing and... :ohyeah: .Limited experience, I guess(only 2 printers?sheesh). But u're right. Next time I have nothing constructive 2 add, I'll keep my bloody fingers off the kb!

This is a little unusual answer, but u know what we do here in the NE for really cheap text only printouts? We go to the nearest Govt. office with a Laser and get it done there REAL CHEAP! Try it. U'll never stop going again!!
