I'd avoid getting the mini if I were you. My experience with HP products is that they are
a> overpriced for what they offer and
b> prone to failure due poor quality, rickety laptop assembly.
(I don't think HP does any kind of study on how their products are put together and why their products fail.)
HP offers 1 year warranty on their products. If a product is repaired or replaced, HP offers only 3 months warranty on the replaced part after which you have to pay full price.
I can't tell you how much money I've wasted with HP products over the years. I'd been to the HP service centre recently. Had to wait 1 and a half hours (due to large no.of customers waiting) to submit an HP laptop of which I'd already replaced the screen earlier for 8,000/-. During this time, I personally saw two minis coming in for repair.
First of all, the service contract in Bangalore had changed from EnnEss to Maha electronics. Maha electronics refused to repair my laptop
- by saying first that EnnEss should repair it and
- then by saying that 90 days for screen replacement is over and asked me to pay another 12,000/- (their price for screen repair) to get it fixed.
