well u need to get a 220 to 120v convertor which has a step down transformer.
if u connect one of those small travel type 220 to 120v convertor based on a IC,then the convertor will go kaput as its only meant for electrical devices like coffee maker,hair dryer ,toaster etc where as ur energizer kit is a electronic device so u will need to get only transformer based convertor.

go for the transformer based one as Lozil has stated, however the ebay listing is overrated. You get these step down adapter for 120 bucks here in chennai and i have been using the same for my cordless phone for almost 3 years now without any problem.
Most of these are made in delhi, so availability of these should not be a problem in haryana. Approach a electronic or electrical store and ask for a 220 to 110 volt converter for DVD player(they better understand if you say this)
