Need to buy a extremely portable notebook urgently in the next 10 days.

What's your Budget? 35-45 K

What will be your primary usage for the notebook be? Surfing the web, light gaming, presentations

What size and weight considerations do you have? Needs to be light as I would be lugging it around on a daily basis.

Any brand that you prefer, or any brand that you detest? Need good world-wide A.S.S as I would be using it in Singapore.I would like to buy additional warranty coverage also (later from Singapore)

Any other considerations? Long battery life, the best screen possible (are there FHD screens in 13-14 inchers ?),would like to get an i5 processor to be a little future proof :)

Laptops considered - 13.3 Macbook pro :ohyeah: but too expensive considering that I'll have to buy iWork,Apple Care and possibly Win 7.However,still my fav.

Would like to get a good deal (online vs offline) - I'm based in Secunderabad

Try getting the Thinkpad x220. You can probably get the core i3 based entry level model within your budget from Singapore.

1. Dell (Best ASS)Inspiron 13Z (thinner) or Vostro 3350 (rugged)
2. Sony Vaio SB Series (Core i3)
3. Samsung Series 7 Chronos (Not released but best of the bunch)

Acer S3, Toshiba Protege Z830, and Lenovo U300. All three ultrabooks will be between 45-55 and available by Nov most likely.

The 13Z does not seem to be configurable - could I have a link please ? /vostro is possibly too rugged - also I can't find it on flipkart
The other options are not released yet and I need to buy the notebook this week!
